Operating Instructions (How to Play)

Objective:

The goal of the Meow-Mazing Game is to be the first player to collect a specific number of charms (as determined by the number of players, typically 5-7) and return to the start space.

Gameplay:

  1. Starting Player: The youngest player goes first, and play proceeds clockwise.
  2. Your Turn: On your turn, place the two dice into the cat-shaped plastic dice mixer and shake them. Roll the dice onto the playing surface.
  3. Movement: Move your player pawn along the path on the game board the number of spaces indicated by the sum of the two dice. You can move in any direction (forward or backward) unless specified by a space.
  4. Landing on a Space:
    • Charm Space: If you land on a space with a charm icon, take one charm of that type and attach it to your headband.
    • Room Card Space: If you land on a Room Card space, draw the top card from the Room Card pile and follow its instructions. These cards may grant you extra moves, allow you to take charms, or introduce fun challenges.
    • Elevator Space: Landing on an Elevator space allows you to move your pawn to any other Elevator space on the board.
    • Special Spaces: Some spaces may have unique actions or instructions. Always read and follow the directions on the space you land on.
  5. Collecting Charms: Continue playing, collecting charms as you land on charm spaces. The charms are designed to clip onto the wearable headbands.
  6. Winning the Game: Once a player has collected the required number of charms, they must make their way back to the "Start" space. The first player to collect the required charms and land exactly on the "Start" space wins the game!
