SOLLAE SYSTEMS SIG-5430
SOLLAE SYSTEMS SIG-5430 Analog Input IoT Gateway User Manual
Model: SIG-5430
Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the SOLLAE SYSTEMS SIG-5430 Analog Input IoT Gateway. The SIG-5430 is designed to convert analog input signals into Modbus TCP data, enabling seamless integration into IoT and industrial control systems. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Package Contents
Upon opening the package, verify that all components are present and undamaged. The standard package for the SIG-5430 includes:
- SIG-5430 Analog Input IoT Gateway Unit
- (Power adapter is required and sold separately)
Product Overview

Figure 1: Front view of the SIG-5430 showing the four analog input terminals (A0-A3) and power/network indicators.

Figure 2: Side view of the SIG-5430, highlighting the Ethernet port for network connectivity and the DC 5V/1A power input.

Figure 3: Bottom view of the SIG-5430, displaying the product label with essential information such as model number (SIG-5430), input voltage (5V, 1A), MAC address (00:30:F9:16:C1:B2), and regulatory certifications (CE, KC, FC, RoHS).
Setup
1. Power Connection
Connect a compatible 5V DC, 1A power adapter (not included) to the DC 5V/1A input port on the side of the SIG-5430. Ensure the power source is stable and meets the specified requirements.
2. Network Connection
Connect an Ethernet cable from your network switch or router to the RJ45 Ethernet port on the SIG-5430. The device will obtain an IP address via DHCP by default, or you can configure a static IP address through its web interface.
3. Analog Input Wiring
The SIG-5430 features four analog input channels (A0, A1, A2, A3). Refer to the device's technical specifications for supported input types (e.g., 0-10V, 4-20mA). Connect your analog sensors or signal sources to the corresponding screw terminals. Ensure correct polarity and secure connections.

- GND: Ground connection for analog inputs
Operating Instructions
1. Initial Configuration (Web Interface)
To access the device's web interface, open a web browser and enter the IP address of the SIG-5430. If DHCP is used, you may need to use a network scanner to find its assigned IP address. Log in using the default credentials (refer to the device's documentation for default username and password).
2. Modbus TCP Communication
The SIG-5430 communicates using Modbus TCP protocol. Analog input values are mapped to Modbus registers. Consult the Modbus register map provided in the detailed technical documentation for the specific register addresses corresponding to each analog input channel.
- Reading Analog Values: Use Modbus TCP client software or a PLC to read the holding registers or input registers associated with the analog inputs.
- Scaling: Analog values may need to be scaled in your Modbus client application based on the sensor's range and the desired engineering units.
3. Status Indicators
Observe the LED indicators on the device for operational status:
- Power LED: Indicates power supply status.
- Link/Activity LED: Indicates Ethernet link status and data activity.
Maintenance
The SIG-5430 is designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines:
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Environment: Ensure the device is operated within its specified environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) to prevent damage.
- Firmware Updates: Check the SOLLAE SYSTEMS website for available firmware updates. Apply updates as recommended to improve performance and security.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device not powering on. | Incorrect power adapter; loose power connection; no power from outlet. | Verify power adapter specifications (5V DC, 1A); ensure power cable is securely connected; test outlet with another device. |
| No network connectivity. | Loose Ethernet cable; incorrect network settings; network issue. | Check Ethernet cable connection; verify network settings (DHCP/Static IP); restart network equipment. |
| Analog input readings are incorrect. | Incorrect wiring; sensor malfunction; incorrect Modbus register mapping; scaling issues. | Verify analog sensor wiring and polarity; test sensor independently; consult Modbus register map; adjust scaling in your Modbus client. |
| Cannot access web interface. | Incorrect IP address; network firewall; browser issues. | Confirm device IP address; temporarily disable firewall; try a different web browser. |
