3. Setup and Installation
The Colosus NDL801 door handle is designed for easy installation on standard pre-drilled doors with a thickness of 1-3/8" to 1-3/4". The latch features an adjustable backset of 2-3/8" to 2-3/4".

Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has standard pre-drilled holes. Measure the backset (distance from the door edge to the center of the cross-bore hole). Adjust the latch to the correct backset (2-3/8" or 2-3/4") if necessary.
- Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the edge bore hole of the door. Ensure the bevel of the latch bolt faces the door frame. Secure the latch with the provided screws.

4. Operating Instructions
The Colosus NDL801 door handle is designed for simple and intuitive operation.
- Opening the Door: To open the door, simply depress the lever handle on either the interior or exterior side. The latch bolt will retract, allowing the door to open.
- Engaging the Privacy Lock (Interior): From the interior side of the door, locate the push-button on the handle's rosette. Press this button to engage the privacy lock. The door will then be locked from the exterior.
- Disengaging the Privacy Lock (Interior): Turning the interior lever handle will automatically disengage the privacy lock.
- Emergency Unlock (Exterior): In case of an emergency, the privacy lock can be disengaged from the exterior using a small pin or tool inserted into the pinhole on the exterior handle's rosette.
