3.3 Loading Filament

Insert the filament into the filament detector and feed it into the extruder until it emerges from the nozzle. Ensure the filament is properly seated to avoid printing issues.

3.4 Starting a Print

Transfer your 3D model file (STL format supported) to the printer via USB stick or WiFi connection. Select the desired file from the touchscreen interface and initiate the print. The printer will preheat the nozzle and bed before starting.

3.5 Dual Z-axis Stability

The dual Z-axis rails provide enhanced stability during printing, contributing to smoother movement and improved print quality, especially for taller objects.

3.6 Carborundum Glass Platform

The Carborundum glass platform offers excellent adhesion for prints during operation and easy removal once cooled. Ensure the platform is clean before each print.

3.7 Filament Detector and Resume Printing

The integrated filament detector pauses printing if the filament runs out, allowing you to load new filament and resume the print. The resume printing function also allows the printer to continue a print after a power outage.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Voxelab Aquila Pro 3D Printer.

  • Clean the Print Platform: Regularly clean the Carborundum glass platform with isopropyl alcohol to ensure good adhesion.
  • Inspect Nozzle: Check the nozzle for clogs or wear. Replace if necessary.
  • Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply a small amount of lubricant to the Z-axis lead screws and other moving parts periodically.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the official Voxelab website for any available firmware updates to improve performance and add features.

5. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Aquila Pro 3D Printer.

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Print not sticking to bed Bed not level, bed temperature too low, dirty print surface, incorrect Z-offset. Perform auto-leveling, clean the Carborundum glass platform, adjust bed temperature, calibrate Z-offset.
Filament not extruding Clogged nozzle, tangled filament, incorrect temperature, faulty extruder. Clear nozzle clog, ensure filament spool unwinds freely, verify print temperature settings, check extruder mechanism.
Poor print quality (layer shifts, stringing) Loose belts, unstable frame, incorrect print speed or retraction settings. Check and tighten belts, ensure printer is on a stable surface, adjust print speed and retraction in slicing software.
WiFi connection issues Incorrect network settings, router interference, outdated firmware. Verify WiFi credentials, ensure printer is within range, try connecting to a 2.4GHz network, update firmware via USB if necessary.
