This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Hoomace dehumidifier.

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Hoomace Small Dehumidifier with Air Purifying Function. This compact and efficient device is designed to improve the air quality and comfort of your living spaces by reducing excess humidity, filtering airborne particles, and releasing negative ions. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Always place the dehumidifier on a stable, flat surface to prevent tipping.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation by keeping the unit at least 10 cm (4 inches) away from walls or furniture.
  • Do not block the air inlet or outlet.
  • Use only the provided power adapter.
  • Do not immerse the unit, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning, maintenance, or when not in use for extended periods.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not operate the unit if the power cord or plug is damaged.
  • Empty the water tank regularly to prevent overflow and ensure optimal performance.

  • Dehumidification: Utilizes thermoelectric Peltier technology to efficiently remove up to 11oz (350 ml) of moisture daily in humid conditions (86°F, 80% RH).
  • Air Filtration: Features a G4 air filter cotton that captures 90% of dust, dander, and hair, improving air purity.
  • Negative Ion Release: Releases high-efficiency negative ions to further purify the air.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
  2. Remove Filter Packaging: Locate the air filter compartment (refer to Figure 1). Open the compartment and remove the plastic packaging from the G4 air filter cotton. Reinsert the filter and close the compartment securely.
  3. Place Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is correctly seated and locked into the base of the unit.
  4. Position the Dehumidifier: Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the desired location, ensuring sufficient space around it for proper airflow.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the dehumidifier and then into a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The control panel is located on the top of the unit (refer to Figure 3).

  • Power On/Off: Press the Power button (circle with vertical line) to turn the unit on or off. The unit will start in dehumidification mode.
  • Dehumidification Function: The unit automatically begins dehumidifying when powered on. It operates quietly, below 30dB, making it suitable for bedrooms and other quiet spaces.
  • Air Purifying Function (Negative Ions): Long press the Negative Ion button (tree icon) for 2 seconds to activate or deactivate the negative ion release.
  • LED Lights: Press the Light button (sun icon) to cycle through the 7 colorful LED light options or turn them off. These lights can create a pleasant ambiance.

  • Timer Settings: Press the Timer button (clock icon) to set the operating time for 4, 8, or 12 hours. The unit will automatically shut off after the selected duration.
  • Auto Shut-Down Protection: When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut down, and a red light will illuminate to indicate that the tank needs to be emptied. This prevents overflow.

6. Maintenance

  • Emptying the Water Tank: The water tank has an upper and lower separated design with a hidden handle. To empty, twist to unlock and separate the upper part from the lower water tank. Open the cover, pour out the collected water, then reassemble and slide back into the unit.

  • Cleaning/Replacing the Air Filter: The G4 air filter cotton is reusable and can be cleaned. To access the filter, open the back cover of the unit. Remove the filter, clean it gently with a soft brush or vacuum, or replace it if heavily soiled. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting.

7. Troubleshooting
