Setup Guide

1. Initial Preparation

  • Power Connection: The camera does not have a built-in battery. Connect the camera to a continuous power source using the provided USB cable. This can be a mobile power bank or a USB wall adapter.
  • Micro SD Card (Optional but Recommended): Insert a Micro SD card (not included) into the camera's designated slot for local storage and loop recording. Ensure the card is formatted correctly (FAT32 recommended).

2. App Installation (V380Pro)

  1. Download the V380Pro app from your device's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
  2. Install the app on your smartphone or tablet.
  3. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

3. Wi-Fi Connection

The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only. Ensure your router is configured for 2.4GHz or has a mixed mode enabled.

  1. Power on the camera. It will emit a Wi-Fi signal.
  2. Open the V380Pro app.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. This typically involves connecting your phone to the camera's direct Wi-Fi hotspot first, then configuring the camera to connect to your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  4. Once connected, the camera will appear online in your app, allowing for remote viewing.

Operating Instructions

1. Live View

Once the camera is connected to your Wi-Fi network and online in the V380Pro app, tap on the camera's preview to access the live video feed. You can view real-time footage from anywhere with an internet connection.

2. Motion Detection and Alerts

  • Navigate to the camera settings within the V380Pro app.
  • Locate the "Motion Detection" or "Alarm Settings" option.
  • Enable motion detection and adjust the sensitivity level as needed.
  • Ensure push notifications are enabled for the V380Pro app on your phone to receive instant alerts with images when motion is detected.

3. Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions. The integrated IR LEDs provide clear black-and-white video up to 26 feet without emitting visible light.

4. Loop Recording

If a Micro SD card is inserted, the camera will continuously record. When the memory card is full, the oldest video files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures uninterrupted recording.

5. Cloud Storage (Optional)

The V380Pro app may offer optional cloud storage services for your recordings. Refer to the app's interface for details on subscription plans and activation.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the V380Pro app for any available firmware updates for your camera to ensure optimal performance and security.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Camera does not power on or hold charge.
  • The camera requires continuous power. Ensure it is properly connected to a working USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank).
  • Check the USB cable for damage. Try a different USB cable and power source.
Cannot connect to Wi-Fi or app.
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz networks.
  • Verify the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the V380Pro app.
  • Move the camera closer to the Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength.
  • Restart the camera and your router.
  • Reset the camera (refer to the device for a reset button, if available, or app instructions).
No recording or SD card error.
  • Ensure a Micro SD card is properly inserted.
  • Format the Micro SD card to FAT32 using a computer or the app's formatting function.
  • Check if the SD card is full. Loop recording should overwrite old files, but ensure it's enabled.
  • Try a different Micro SD card.
Poor video quality or blurry image.
  • Clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Ensure adequate lighting in the environment, especially for non-night vision footage.
