Setup and Installation

The COSTWAY Portable Air Conditioner is designed for easy, tool-free installation. Follow these steps to set up your unit:

1. Positioning the Unit

Place the unit on a flat, stable surface near a window and a power outlet. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper airflow.

2. Connecting the Exhaust Hose

• Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the hose connector.
• Connect the hose connector to the exhaust outlet on the back of the air conditioner unit.
• Attach the window kit adapter to the other end of the exhaust hose.

3. Window Kit Installation

The adjustable window kit is designed for both horizontal and vertical sliding windows. Adjust the window kit panels to fit your window opening, then secure them. Insert the window kit adapter attached to the exhaust hose into the opening in the window kit.

4. Drainage Setup

For continuous dehumidification or cooling in high humidity, connect the drainage hose to the drainage hole at the back of the unit and direct it into a suitable container or drain.

Operating Instructions

The unit can be controlled via the digital touch panel, remote control, or a smartphone app.

Modes of Operation

Press the 'Mode' button to cycle through the available functions:

• Cool: Provides powerful cooling for rooms up to 450 sq.ft.
• Heat: Offers heating functionality for colder periods.
• Fan: Circulates air without cooling or heating. Features 3 speed settings (Low, Medium, High).
• Dehumidify: Removes excess moisture from the air.

Temperature and Fan Speed Adjustment

• Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrows to adjust the desired temperature (60.8-89.6 ℉).
• Press the 'Speed' button to select fan speed: Low, Medium, or High.

Timer and Sleep Mode

• Timer: Set the 24-hour timer to automatically turn the unit on or off.
• Sleep Mode: Activates quiet operation and gradually adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep.

Oscillation (Swing)

Press the 'Swing' button to activate the 70° oscillation feature, which helps distribute air evenly throughout the room.

WiFi Smart Control

Download the compatible smartphone app to control the air conditioner remotely. This allows for convenient adjustments from anywhere within your home's WiFi network.

Cleaning the Air Filter

The detachable filter screen should be cleaned regularly to maintain air quality and unit efficiency. Simply open with one finger, remove, and wash with water. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting.

Draining Accumulated Water

The unit has two drainage methods. Depending on humidity levels and usage, water may accumulate. Refer to the drainage hole in Figure 5 for manual draining or connect the drainage hose for continuous drainage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, try these common troubleshooting steps before contacting support:

• Unit not turning on: Check power connection, ensure the unit is plugged into a working outlet.
• Insufficient cooling/heating: Verify mode selection, check temperature setting, ensure air filter is clean, and confirm exhaust hose is properly installed and not blocked.
• Unusual noise: Ensure the unit is on a level surface. Check for any obstructions in the air vents.
• Water leakage: Check drainage hose connection and ensure the drainage container is not full if using manual drainage.
