Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to assemble your RIVECO 6U Server Rack. It is recommended to have a clear, flat surface for assembly.

Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions

1. Step 1: Install 4 vertical posts.

   Attach the four vertical posts to the base frame using the provided M6 screws and nuts. Ensure the numbered sides of the posts face outwards for easy unit identification.

2. Step 2: Install top frame.

   Carefully place the top frame onto the installed vertical posts. Align the holes and secure it using the remaining M6 screws and nuts. Ensure all connections are tight for structural integrity.

3. Step 3: Install 4 casters.

   Turn the assembled rack upside down. Attach the four casters to the designated points on the bottom frame using the caster screws. Two of the casters include brakes for stability. Ensure they are securely fastened.

4. Step 4: (Optional) Install 4 leveling feet.

   If you prefer stationary placement or need to level the rack on uneven surfaces, you can install the four leveling feet instead of or in addition to the casters. Choose the optional leveling feet based on your personal needs. These are screwed into the same mounting points as the casters.

Operating Instructions

The RIVECO 6U Server Rack is designed for versatile use in various environments, from home offices to data centers. Once assembled, it provides a stable platform for your 19-inch standard equipment.

• Equipment Mounting: Use the provided M6 screws to mount your 19-inch standard equipment (e.g., servers, switches, routers, amplifiers, hard recorders, computers, X-boxes) into the rack's vertical posts. The posts are numbered by "UNIT" for easy organization and consistent spacing.
• Power Distribution Unit (PDU): The included 8-outlet PDU can be mounted within the rack to provide convenient power access for your equipment. Connect the PDU to a suitable power source.
• Mobility and Stability:
  • If using casters: Unlock the brakes on the casters when moving the rack. Engage the brakes when the rack is in its desired position to prevent accidental movement.
  • If using leveling feet: Adjust the leveling feet to ensure the rack is stable and level on uneven surfaces.
• Cable Management: Utilize the open frame design for efficient cable routing and management to maintain airflow and organization.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your RIVECO server rack.

• Cleaning: Wipe down the rack with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Fastener Check: Periodically check all screws and nuts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain the rack's stability.
• Caster/Leveling Feet Inspection: If using casters, ensure they roll smoothly and that the brakes engage properly. If using leveling feet, verify they are securely in place and providing adequate support.
• Powder Coat Finish: The black RAL9005 powder coat finish is resistant to scratching and rusting. If any damage occurs, touch-up paint can be applied to prevent corrosion.
