1. Introduction

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device using the provided USB cable. Connect the micro USB charging port (9) on the device to a 5V 1A USB power source. A full charge typically takes about 3 hours.

4.3 Mounting Options

The repeller offers two primary installation methods:

• Ground Insertion: Connect the detachable fixing tubes (mounting poles) to the bottom of the repeller unit. Insert the assembled unit firmly into the ground in the desired area. The height can be adjusted using the two fixed rods.
• Suspension: Utilize the hook hole on the back of the unit to hang it on a fence, wall, or other suitable structure.

Ensure the solar panel (2) is exposed to direct sunlight for optimal charging. Position the device to maximize the PIR sensor's detection range (120-degree arc, up to 30 feet) in the area you wish to protect.

5. Operating Modes

The LEMENG Animal Repeller features a control knob (7) to select from 5 adjustable modes, allowing you to customize the deterrent based on the target animal and situation. Another knob (6) controls the audible alarm volume.

To adjust the audible alarm volume, use the control knob labeled 'Audible Alarm Control (Volume +/-)' (6). You can turn it off or lower the volume if the alarm sound is bothersome to people or neighbors.

6. Charging

The LEMENG Animal Repeller supports two charging methods to ensure continuous operation:

• Solar Charging: The integrated solar panel (2) on top of the unit charges the internal 2000 mAh lithium battery when exposed to sunlight. This is the primary method for maintaining charge during outdoor use.
• USB Charging: For initial charging, or during prolonged periods of low sunlight, use the provided USB cable to charge the device via the micro USB charging port (9). Connect to a standard 5V 1A USB power adapter.

The PIR sensor (5) also functions as a charge indicator: Blue light indicates charging, and Red light indicates fully charged or working status.

• Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel and sensor window with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal performance. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Water Exposure: While the device has an IP66 waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand normal rain, do not immerse the product in water. During severe thunderstorms or heavy rainfall, it is advisable to bring the unit indoors to prevent potential damage.
• Battery Life: To ensure the full deterrent effect, it is recommended to regularly check the device's functionality and charge level. If the device's functions (ultrasound, flash, or alarm) seem to weaken, the battery may be low and requires recharging.
• Placement: Avoid placing the device in areas where it might be frequently tilted or dropped, as this can damage the internal components or the grounding stake.
