Setup and Installation

This shower head combo is designed for easy, tool-free installation. No drilling or professional plumbing assistance is typically required. It fits any standard shower arm.

Tools That May Be Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench or pliers (optional, for tightening if needed)
  • Cloth towel (to protect finish if using tools)

Installation Steps:

  1. Remove Existing Shower Head: Turn off the main water supply to your shower. Unscrew your old shower head counter-clockwise. If it's too tight, use an adjustable wrench or pliers covered with a cloth to avoid scratching.
  2. Clean Shower Arm Threads: Remove any old thread seal tape or residue from the shower arm. Ensure there are no washers left inside the shower pipe.
  3. Apply Teflon Tape: Wrap 3-4 layers of the provided Teflon thread seal tape clockwise around the threads of your shower arm.
  4. Install Dual Shower Head: Ensure the rubber washer is properly seated inside the main shower head's connection. Screw the new dual shower head onto the shower arm clockwise. Hand-tighten firmly. If necessary, use pliers covered with a towel for a final snug tighten, but do not overtighten.
  5. Connect Shower Hose: Ensure rubber washers are in place at both ends of the 60-inch stainless steel hose. Connect one end of the hose to the designated mount on the main shower head by turning clockwise.
  6. Connect Handheld Shower: Connect the other end of the hose to the handheld shower head by turning clockwise.
  7. Secure Handheld Shower: Place the handheld shower head securely in its integrated holder on the side of the main shower head.

Operating Instructions

Your BRIGHT SHOWERS Dual Shower Head Combo offers flexible options for your showering needs.

Switching Between Shower Heads:

The main unit features an easy-access dual-function knob. Rotate this knob to divert water flow between the fixed rainfall shower head and the handheld shower head. This allows for quick, one-handed operation.

Adjusting Spray Settings:

Both the fixed rainfall shower head and the handheld shower head offer multiple spray settings for a personalized experience:

  • Rainfall: A gentle, wide coverage spray for a relaxing experience.
  • Turbo: A powerful, concentrated spray for rinsing or invigorating showers.
  • Pressure Rinse (Handheld only): A focused, high-pressure stream ideal for cleaning or targeted rinsing.

To change the spray setting on the fixed head, rotate the central knob. For the handheld shower, use the switch located on its body to cycle through the available modes.

Maintenance

To maintain optimal performance and appearance of your shower head combo, regular cleaning is recommended.

The shower heads feature touch-clean spray nozzles. Simply wipe away any calcium and lime buildup with your fingertip. No soaking, scrubbing, or harsh chemicals are needed.

Hose Care:

The 60-inch stainless steel hose is designed to be flexible and kink-free. Avoid excessive pulling or twisting that could damage the hose or its connections. Wipe down regularly to prevent water spot buildup.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your shower head combo, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Low Water Pressure: The product is engineered for a strong, consistent spray under typical U.S. water pressure. If you experience low pressure, ensure your home's water supply is fully open. Some users may choose to remove the flow restrictor for increased pressure; however, this may affect water consumption and local regulations.
  • Leaks at Connections: Ensure all connections are hand-tightened firmly. If leaks persist, carefully tighten with an adjustable wrench or pliers (covered with a cloth to protect the finish), ensuring not to overtighten. Verify that all rubber washers are correctly seated and undamaged. Re-apply Teflon tape if necessary.
  • Handheld Shower Head Not Seating Properly: Ensure the handheld shower head is aligned correctly with its integrated holder. The holder is designed for a secure fit.
  • Difficulty Switching Modes: Ensure the diverter knob on the main unit and the switch on the handheld unit are rotated fully to their desired positions. Mineral buildup can sometimes impede smooth operation; refer to the Maintenance section for cleaning.
