Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all parts on a clear area. Ensure all components listed below are present before discarding packaging materials.

4. Setup and Installation

Important: Before starting installation, ensure the power supply to the circuit is turned off at the main fuse box or circuit breaker.

  1. Prepare the Mounting Surface: Ensure the junction box is securely mounted to the ceiling structure and can support the weight of the fixture (27 lbs).
  2. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (included in hardware) to the junction box using the provided screws.
  3. Adjust Chain Length: Determine the desired hanging height for your pendant. Adjust the chain length by removing links as necessary. Feed the electrical wires through the chain and canopy.
  4. Make Electrical Connections:
    • Connect the fixture's bare copper or green ground wire to the green or bare copper ground wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the fixture's ribbed or white wire to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the fixture's smooth or black wire to the black (hot) wire from the junction box.
    Secure all connections with wire nuts and wrap with electrical tape.
  5. Secure Canopy: Tuck all wires neatly into the junction box. Raise the canopy to the ceiling and secure it to the mounting plate using the provided screws.
  6. Install Glass Shade: Carefully attach the opal glass shade to the fixture according to the specific design. Ensure it is seated firmly.
  7. Install Bulb: Insert one incandescent bulb (max 100 watts) into the socket. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
  8. Restore Power: Once installation is complete, restore power at the circuit breaker.
