This sub-dial is typically synchronized with the main analog time or can be independently set by a small recessed button (if present, use a pointed object to adjust) or by rotating the crown if it has a second pull-out position. Refer to the specific mechanism of your watch for precise adjustment of this sub-dial.
7. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the metal band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Water Resistance: While waterproof (30M), avoid prolonged exposure to water, especially hot water. Do not press buttons when the watch is wet or submerged. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in.
- Battery Replacement: When the digital display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields.
8. Troubleshooting
- Digital Display is Dim or Blank: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Analog Hands Not Moving: Check if the analog crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the analog battery might be depleted (some watches have separate batteries for analog and digital) or there's a mechanical issue.
- Buttons Not Responding: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a common feature for this model). If wet, dry the watch thoroughly. If issues persist, the internal mechanism might be faulty.
- Time Inaccuracy: Extreme temperatures or strong magnetic fields can affect accuracy. If the watch consistently loses or gains time significantly, it may require servicing.
- Water Inside Watch: If condensation or water droplets appear inside the watch, stop using it immediately and have it inspected by a professional to prevent further damage.
