4.1 Making Calls

The FC-8888 features extra-large buttons for easy dialing and reduced errors, especially beneficial for those with impaired eyesight or dexterity.

  • Standard Dialing: Lift the handset and dial the desired phone number using the large number keys (0-9).
  • One-Touch Memory Dialing (M1/M2): For frequently called numbers, use the M1 and M2 buttons. These allow for instant dialing of pre-programmed numbers.
  • Speed Dialing (Keys 0-9): The phone supports 10 additional speed dial numbers (assigned to keys 0-9). In one-touch mode, standard dialing is disabled, and these keys act as one-touch speed dials. In normal mode, they function as two-touch speed dials (press MEM key first, then the assigned number key).
  • 911 Emergency Button: A dedicated, reprogrammable 911 button provides quick access to emergency services.
