Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to connect your Wantek RJ9 Office Telephone Headset to your compatible desk phone.
- Identify the RJ9 Headset Port: Locate the RJ9 headset port on your desk phone. This is typically a small, square port.
- Connect the RJ9 Jack: Plug the RJ9 jack from your headset's quick disconnect cord into the RJ9 headset port on your phone. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Connect the Quick Disconnect (QD) Feature: Attach the headset's cord to the quick disconnect end of the RJ9 cord. This connection allows you to easily detach the headset from the phone without unplugging the main cord.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting the Headset
- Headband Adjustment: The headband is adjustable to fit various head sizes. Gently pull or push the earpiece sections to extend or retract the headband until it fits comfortably.
- Earpad Rotation: The earpad can rotate to ensure a comfortable fit against your ear.
- Microphone Positioning: The microphone arm can rotate approximately 330 degrees, allowing you to wear the headset on either your left or right ear. Position the microphone approximately 1-2 inches from your mouth for optimal voice pickup.

Using In-line Controls
- Microphone Mute: Use the "ON/OFF" switch on the in-line control to mute or unmute your microphone during a call. Set to "OFF" to mute, "ON" to unmute.

Quick Disconnect (QD) Feature
The Quick Disconnect feature allows you to temporarily leave your desk without removing your headset or disconnecting the entire cord from the phone. Simply pull the two sections of the QD cord apart to disconnect. Reconnect them by pushing them together until they click.
