1. Introduction

The Tamagotchi Original Dreamy is a digital pet that allows you to nurture and care for a virtual character. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Tamagotchi device. With original generation 2 programming, you will feed it, clean up after it, take care of it, and even discipline it if necessary. Your care determines the adult character your Tamagotchi will become.

2. Getting Started (Setup)

2.1. Unboxing Your Tamagotchi

Carefully remove the Tamagotchi device from its packaging. The package includes the Tamagotchi unit with an attached chain and an instruction leaflet.

2.2. Activating the Device

To activate your Tamagotchi, locate the small plastic tab protruding from the side or back of the device. Gently pull this tab out completely. This will connect the battery and power on your Tamagotchi.

2.3. Initial Hatching

Once activated, your Tamagotchi will begin its life cycle as an egg. Follow the on-screen prompts and use the buttons to set the time and begin the hatching process. Your virtual pet will hatch shortly after setup.

3. Operating Instructions: Caring for Your Tamagotchi

Your Tamagotchi requires regular attention and care to grow into a healthy adult. Use the three buttons (A, B, C) located below the screen to navigate menus and interact with your pet.

3.1. Basic Needs

• Feed: Select the fork and knife icon to offer your Tamagotchi a meal or a snack. Keep its hunger meter full.
• Lights: Turn the lights on or off using the lightbulb icon. Turn lights off when your Tamagotchi sleeps to ensure it rests properly.
• Bathroom: When your Tamagotchi makes a mess, select the toilet icon to clean up after it.
• Medicine: If your Tamagotchi becomes sick (indicated by a skull icon), select the medicine icon to administer care.

3.2. Interaction and Discipline

• Play: Engage your Tamagotchi with games by selecting the game icon. The Original Dreamy includes the Numbers game, where you guess if the next number will be higher or lower. Playing games helps keep your pet happy.
• Discipline: If your Tamagotchi misbehaves or calls for attention when its needs are met, use the discipline icon to correct its behavior.
• Attention/Health: Regularly check your Tamagotchi's health and attention meters to ensure it is well-cared for.

3.3. Growth and Evolution

How you care for your Tamagotchi, including feeding, playing, and discipline, will influence its growth and determine which of the 7 possible adult characters it will evolve into.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Battery Replacement

The Tamagotchi Original Dreamy uses one CR2032 button cell battery (included). When the battery runs low, the screen may dim or the device may stop functioning. To replace the battery:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
2. Use a small screwdriver to open the battery cover.
3. Carefully remove the old CR2032 battery.
4. Insert a new CR2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity.
5. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.
