Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Assemble: Ensure the chestpiece, tube, stem, and headset are securely connected.
3. Charge: Before first use, fully charge the stethoscope using the provided charging cable. The charging port is typically located on the digital module.
4. Download App: Download the Eko software application from your smart device's app store (iOS or Android).
5. Pair: Follow the in-app instructions to pair your 3M Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope with your smart device via Bluetooth.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off: Locate the power button on the digital module. Press and hold to turn the device on or off. An indicator light will confirm the status.
2. Toggle Modes: The stethoscope allows toggling between analog and amplified digital listening modes. Refer to the device's digital module for the mode selection button.
3. Adjust Amplification/Volume: Use the volume control buttons on the digital module to increase or decrease the sound amplification to your desired level.
4. Using the Chestpiece:
   • For low-frequency sounds, apply light pressure to the patient's skin with the chestpiece.
   • For high-frequency sounds, apply firm pressure to the patient's skin with the chestpiece.
   • Utilize the appropriate side of the dual-sided chestpiece: the larger side for adult patients and the smaller side for pediatric or thin patients.
5. Active Noise Cancellation: This feature is automatically active in digital mode to reduce ambient noise.
6. App Connectivity: Once paired, open the Eko app on your smart device to visualize heart sound waveforms, record, and save data. Follow the app's prompts for recording and analysis.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Clean the stethoscope regularly with a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution or a disposable wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not immerse the stethoscope in any liquid.
• Storage: Store the stethoscope in a clean, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
• Battery Care: To maintain battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device when the battery indicator is low.
• Ear Tips: Periodically remove and clean the ear tips to ensure optimal sound transmission and hygiene.
