Operating Instructions

The CEESC Pet Water Fountain is designed for continuous operation to provide fresh, filtered water for your pet.

  • Continuous Operation: The fountain operates continuously when plugged in. There is no on/off switch on the unit itself.
  • Water Level Monitoring: Regularly check the water level. The fountain has a water shortage reminder.
  • Water Shortage Indicator: A red flashing light indicates a low water level.
  • Automatic Shutdown: The fountain will automatically shut down the pump when the water level is critically low to prevent dry running and pump damage. Refill water promptly.
  • Filter Change Indicator: A blue flashing light indicates it is time to change the filter.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and filter replacement are crucial for maintaining water quality and extending the life of your fountain.

  • Weekly Cleaning: Disassemble and clean the fountain (base, tray, pump, and pre-filter sponge) at least once a week. Use mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Pump Cleaning: The pump should be cleaned weekly to prevent mineral buildup and ensure quiet operation. Disassemble the pump, clean the impeller and housing with a small brush, and rinse.
  • Filter Replacement: Replace the filter element every 14 to 20 days, or sooner if the blue indicator light flashes, or if water flow decreases significantly, or if the water appears dirty. Rinse the new filter thoroughly before placing it in the fountain.
