1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

Before proceeding with the setup, ensure all components are present in the package:

  • LG 24GQ50F-B Monitor Display
  • Monitor Stand Base
  • Monitor Stand Neck
  • Power Adapter and Power Cord
  • HDMI Cable
  • User Manual (this document)
  • Other documentation (e.g., warranty card)

2.2 Assembling the Stand

Follow these steps to assemble the monitor stand:

  1. Carefully place the monitor screen face down on a soft, clean cloth to prevent scratches.
  2. Attach the stand neck to the back of the monitor until it clicks into place.
  3. Connect the stand base to the stand neck and secure it with the provided screw.
  4. Gently lift the assembled monitor and place it on a stable, flat surface.

2.3 Connecting Cables

Connect the necessary cables to the monitor's ports. Refer to the image below for port locations.

  • Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the monitor's power input and then plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
  • Video Connection:
    • For optimal performance, use the provided HDMI cable to connect your computer or gaming console to one of the monitor's HDMI ports.
    • Alternatively, use a DisplayPort cable to connect to the DisplayPort input for higher refresh rates and resolutions.
  • Audio Output: If desired, connect external speakers or headphones to the 3.5mm audio output jack.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On/Off

Press the power button located on the bottom center of the monitor to turn it on or off. The power indicator light will illuminate when the monitor is active.

3.2 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu Navigation

The monitor features an intuitive On-Screen Display (OSD) menu for adjusting various settings. Use the joystick button located on the bottom center of the monitor to navigate the menu.

  • Move Joystick Up/Down: Navigate through menu options.
  • Move Joystick Left/Right: Adjust selected setting values.
  • Press Joystick (Click): Select an option or confirm a setting.

  • 165Hz Refresh Rate with 1ms MBR: This high refresh rate combined with Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) minimizes motion blur and ghosting, providing smoother visuals in fast-paced games.

  • AMD FreeSync™ Premium: This technology synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate with your graphics card's frame rate, eliminating screen tearing and stuttering for a fluid gaming experience. Ensure your graphics card supports AMD FreeSync™ Premium.

  • Dynamic Action Sync®: Reduces input lag, allowing you to react to in-game actions in real-time. This feature is automatically enabled for optimal responsiveness.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Monitor

  • Always unplug the monitor from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a specialized screen cleaning solution.
  • Gently wipe the screen surface. Avoid applying excessive pressure.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, benzene, thinners, or any harsh chemicals, as these can damage the screen or casing.
