6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your food warmer and ensure hygienic operation.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, ensure the unit is unplugged and completely cooled. Drain any remaining water from the reservoir. Wipe down all stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent water spots and corrosion.
  • Deep Cleaning: Periodically, a deeper clean may be required. For stubborn stains or mineral deposits in the water reservoir, use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner or a solution of vinegar and water. Allow the solution to soak if necessary, then scrub gently with a soft brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly multiple times to remove all residue.
  • Descaling: If you notice significant mineral buildup (limescale) in the water reservoir, a descaling solution designed for kitchen appliances can be used. Follow the descaling product's instructions carefully, then rinse the reservoir thoroughly with clean water before next use.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, ensure the unit is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.
