In Star Wars Villainous: Power of The Dark Side, players take on the roles of iconic Star Wars villains, each with their own unique objectives and abilities. Navigate your villain's sector, deploy ships, recruit allies, and overcome heroes to achieve your sinister destiny before your opponents.

This game is designed for 2-4 players, ages 10 and up, with an approximate playing time of 20 minutes per player.

Setup

1. Choose Your Villain: Each player selects one of the five iconic villains: Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, General Grievous, Asajj Ventress, or Moff Gideon. Take the corresponding Villain Mover, Villain Sector, Villain Deck, Fate Deck, and Villain Guide.
2. Place Villain Sector: Each player places their Villain Sector (game board) in front of them.
3. Shuffle Decks: Shuffle your personal Villain Deck and place it face down on the designated space on your Villain Sector. Shuffle your personal Fate Deck and place it face down on the designated space on your Villain Sector.
4. Draw Starting Hand: Each player draws four cards from their Villain Deck to form their starting hand.
5. Prepare Tokens: Place the various game tokens (Credits, Ambition, etc.) in a general supply area accessible to all players.
6. Destiny Tracker: Place the Destiny Tracker and Luke Skywalker Tile near the play area.

Gameplay

Players take turns performing actions to advance their villain's unique objective. Each turn consists of three main steps:

1. Move Your Villain: Move your Villain Mover to any location on your Villain Sector. You cannot stay at the same location two turns in a row.
2. Perform Actions: The location you moved to will have several action icons. You may perform any or all of the actions shown at that location, in any order. Actions include:
• Gain Credits: Collect the indicated number of Credits tokens.
• Play a Card: Play a card from your hand by paying its Credit cost.
• Activate: Use the special ability of an Ally or Item card.
• Move an Item/Ally: Move an Item or Ally card to an adjacent location.
• Vanquish: Defeat a Hero card in your sector.
• Fate: Choose an opponent and draw two cards from their Fate Deck. Play one card to their sector, covering two action spaces.
3. Draw Cards: Draw cards from your Villain Deck until you have four cards in your hand. If your deck runs out, shuffle your discard pile to form a new deck.

The game continues until one player successfully completes their unique villain objective.

Villain Objectives

Each villain has a unique objective that must be met to win the game:

• Darth Vader: Defeat Luke Skywalker.
• Kylo Ren: Commit to the Dark Side of the Force.
• General Grievous: Collect 8 Lightsabers.
• Asajj Ventress: Complete 3 Missions.
• Moff Gideon: Capture and Experiment on Grogu.

Strategic Elements

Success in Star Wars Villainous requires a blend of critical thinking, memorization, and problem-solving skills. Players must manage their hand of cards, strategically move their villain, and anticipate opponents' moves while working towards their own unique objective. The Fate Deck introduces elements of chance and interaction, allowing players to hinder their rivals.
