1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your SENDUO Automatic Wire Stripper Machine. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the machine to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.

The SENDUO Automatic Wire Stripper is designed for stripping insulation from scrap copper wires, facilitating recycling. It offers both electric motor operation and manual hand-crank or drill-driven options for versatility.

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in serious injury or damage to the machine.

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and gloves, when operating the machine.
  • Ensure the machine is placed on a stable, level surface before operation.
  • Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts, especially the blades and feeding holes, during operation.
  • Disconnect power before performing any maintenance, adjustments, or cleaning.
  • Do not attempt to strip wires outside the specified gauge range (0.04"-0.79" / 1mm-20mm).
  • Do not operate the machine in wet conditions or near flammable materials.
  • Keep children and unauthorized personnel away from the machine during operation.
  • Regularly inspect the power cord for damage. Do not use if damaged.
  • Ensure proper ventilation when operating the machine.

Key Components:

  • Motor: 40W, 110V 60Hz motor for automatic operation.
  • Hand Crank: For manual operation when electric power is unavailable or preferred.
  • Drill Connector: Allows connection to an electric drill for powered operation.
  • Adjustable Blades: High-performance blades designed for stripping various wire sizes.
  • Dual Wire Feed Holes: Accommodate different wire diameters.
  • Feeding Panel: Guides the wire into the stripping mechanism.
  • Regulating Nuts: Used to adjust blade depth and feeding panel position.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present according to the packing list.
  2. Mounting: The machine can be mounted to a workbench or stable surface using appropriate fasteners (not included) through the pre-drilled holes in the base. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent movement during operation.
  3. Blade Adjustment: Before first use, or when changing wire sizes, adjust the blade depth. Loosen the Blades Regulating Nut and adjust the blade position so that it scores the insulation without cutting into the copper wire. Tighten the nut securely.
  4. Feeding Panel Adjustment: Adjust the position of the incoming line board (Feeding Panel) according to the thickness of the wire to be stripped. This ensures the wire is properly guided to the blades.
  5. Power Connection (for electric operation): Connect the power cord to a standard 110V 50-60Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging in.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Electric Operation

  1. Ensure the machine is securely mounted and the blade and feeding panel are adjusted for the wire size.
  2. Turn the power switch to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
  3. Carefully insert the end of the wire into the appropriate feeding hole.
  4. The machine will pull the wire through, and the blade will score the insulation.
  5. Once the wire has passed through, pull the stripped insulation off the copper wire.
  6. Turn the power switch to "OFF" when finished or before making adjustments.

5.2 Manual Hand-Crank Operation

  1. Ensure the machine is securely mounted and the blade and feeding panel are adjusted for the wire size.
  2. Insert the hand crank into its designated slot.
  3. Carefully insert the end of the wire into the appropriate feeding hole.
  4. Rotate the hand crank steadily to pull the wire through the stripping mechanism.
  5. Once the wire has passed through, pull the stripped insulation off the copper wire.

5.3 Drill-Driven Operation

  1. Ensure the machine is securely mounted and the blade and feeding panel are adjusted for the wire size.
  2. Attach an electric drill to the drill connector on the machine. Ensure the drill is securely fastened.
  3. Carefully insert the end of the wire into the appropriate feeding hole.
  4. Activate the drill at a low to medium speed to pull the wire through the stripping mechanism.
  5. Once the wire has passed through, pull the stripped insulation off the copper wire.
  6. Deactivate the drill when finished.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the machine, especially around the blades and feeding holes, to remove any accumulated insulation debris or dust. Use a dry cloth or soft brush. Disconnect power before cleaning.
  • Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the stripping blade for wear or damage. A dull blade will result in poor stripping performance. The product comes with an extra blade for replacement.
  • Lubrication: Apply a small amount of machine oil to moving parts, such as the shaft, periodically to ensure smooth operation.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the machine in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
