1. Product Overview

The LogiLink LPS402 Power Strip with Remote Control offers a convenient and energy-saving solution for managing your electronic devices. 2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Placement

Place the power strip on a flat, stable surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit. Avoid covering the power strip with carpets or other materials that could impede heat dissipation.

2.2 Connecting the Power Strip

  1. Ensure the power strip's main switch (if present) is in the OFF position.
  2. Insert the power strip's plug firmly into a standard 230V / 16A wall outlet.
  3. Plug your devices into the five protective contact sockets on the power strip.
  4. If applicable, switch the main power strip switch to the ON position.

2.3 Remote Control Setup

The remote control is typically pre-paired with the power strip. If pairing is required or you wish to re-pair, follow these general steps:

  1. Ensure the power strip is plugged in and powered on.
  2. Locate the pairing button on the power strip (refer to the product diagram for exact location, usually a small button near the indicator lights).
  3. Press and hold the pairing button on the power strip for approximately 3-5 seconds until an indicator light (often green or blue) starts blinking.
  4. Within 10 seconds, press any ON button (e.g., ON-1) on the remote control.
  5. The indicator light on the power strip should stop blinking and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic On/Off Control

Once the power strip is plugged in and devices are connected, use the remote control to manage power to the sockets.

  • Press the ON-1 button on the remote to turn on all connected devices on the power strip.
  • Press the OFF-1 button on the remote to turn off all connected devices on the power strip.

3.2 Controlling Multiple Power Strips

The remote control is designed to manage up to two LogiLink power strips. If you have a second compatible power strip (not included), you can pair it to the remote using the ON-2/OFF-2 buttons.

  • To pair a second power strip, follow the pairing steps in Section 2.3, but press the ON-2 button on the remote during the pairing process.
  • Once paired, use the ON-2 button to turn on the second power strip and OFF-2 to turn it off.

3.3 Surge Protection Indicator

The power strip features an LED indicator for surge protection. A green light typically indicates that the surge protection is active and functioning correctly. If this light is off or red, the surge protection may have been compromised by a significant power surge and the unit should be replaced.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the power strip from the wall outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the power strip and remote control.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as these can damage the unit or pose an electrical hazard.
  • Ensure no moisture enters the sockets or internal components.

4.2 Safety Precautions

  • Do not overload the power strip beyond its maximum rated power (3680 W).
  • Do not connect multiple power strips in series (daisy-chaining).
  • Do not use the power strip in wet or damp environments.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the power strip or remote control. Refer to qualified personnel for service.
  • Regularly inspect the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use immediately.

5. Troubleshooting
