5. Installation

5.1 Preparation

1. Disconnect Power: Before starting any electrical work, turn off the main power supply to the circuit at your fuse box or circuit breaker. Verify that the power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Remove Existing Switch: Carefully remove the existing light switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires, noting their connections.
3. Check Wall Box: Ensure your flush-mounted wall box has two retaining screws for secure mounting, as this dimmer does not use a clamping mechanism. A deeper wall box is advantageous but not strictly necessary.

5.2 Wiring Connection

The Ledvion dimmer supports both one-way and two-way switching configurations. Connect the wires to the screw terminals as shown in the diagrams below. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.

• L: Live wire (Input)
• L1: Switched Live wire (Output to lamp)
• L2: For two-way switching (connect to the other switch's L2 terminal)
• N: Neutral wire (Required for two-way switching, if applicable)

5.3 Mounting the Dimmer

1. Carefully place the wired dimmer module into the wall box. Ensure wires are not pinched.
2. Secure the dimmer module to the wall box using the provided screws.
3. If necessary, attach the 4mm to 6mm adapter to the dimmer shaft before placing the rotary knob.
4. Attach the cover plate and then the rotary knob.

6. Setup and Configuration

6.1 Adjusting Minimum Dimming Level

After installation, it is recommended to set the minimum dimming level to prevent flickering or premature lamp failure at very low light settings. This is done via a small adjustment screw labeled 'MIN' on the dimmer module.

1. Restore power to the circuit.
2. Turn on the light and dim it to its lowest setting.
3. Using a small screwdriver, carefully turn the 'MIN' adjustment screw (usually located near the terminals) until the lamp dims smoothly without flickering and remains stable at its lowest desired light output.
4. Test the full dimming range to ensure satisfactory operation.

7.1 Power On/Off

Press the rotary knob to turn the connected lights on or off.

7.2 Dimming Function

Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the light intensity and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
