Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your LAUSAINT HOME Outdoor Patio Umbrella. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use to ensure safe and proper functioning. Keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Information
- Base Stability: Always fill the base with at least 220 pounds of sand to ensure maximum stability. An improperly weighted base can lead to tipping.
- Weather Conditions: Do not use the umbrella in strong winds, heavy rain, hail, or other severe weather conditions. Collapse and secure the umbrella when not in use or during adverse weather to prevent damage or injury.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the umbrella during operation, especially when opening, closing, or rotating, to prevent accidents.
- Secure Fasteners: Ensure all bolts, screws, and connections are securely fastened before and during each use. Periodically check for loose parts and tighten as needed.
- Weight Limit: Do not hang objects from the umbrella frame or canopy, as this may compromise stability and cause damage.
- Heat Sources: Avoid placing the umbrella near open flames, grills, heaters, or other heat sources, as the fabric may be flammable.

Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your patio umbrella. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps, especially when handling the main pole and canopy.
Step 1: Assemble the Base Frame
Lay out the cross-shaped metal base support on a flat, stable surface. Attach the main pole mounting bracket to the center of the cross-shaped base using the provided bolts. Ensure all connections are secure.

Step 2: Attach Base Panels and Fill with Sand
Secure the four plastic base panels around the assembled base frame. Note that two panels have a locking system; these must be positioned opposite each other and parallel to where the foot pedal will be. Open the hook and loop pouches on the provided sandbags and fill each with at least 220 pounds of wet sand. Place the filled sandbags securely within the base panels to ensure maximum stability.

Step 3: Mount the Main Pole
Carefully insert the main curved aluminum pole into the mounting bracket on the base. Secure it using the provided bolts and tools. Ensure the pole is firmly attached and stable before proceeding.

Operating Instructions
Opening and Closing the Umbrella Canopy
To open the canopy, locate the crank handle on the main pole. Rotate the handle clockwise until the canopy is fully extended and taut. To close, rotate the handle counter-clockwise until the canopy is fully collapsed and secured with the attached strap.

360° Rotation
The umbrella features a unique pedal design at the base for 360° rotation. Step on the foot pedal located at the base of the main pole to unlock the rotation mechanism. Gently rotate the umbrella to your desired position. Release the pedal to lock the umbrella in place.

Infinite Tilting System
To adjust the tilt angle of the canopy, locate the handle on the curved pole. Pull the handle to release the lock and slide it up or down to achieve the desired tilt angle (0-45°). Push the handle back to lock the tilt in position.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Clean the canopy fabric with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before closing or storing to prevent mildew.
- Wipe down the aluminum frame with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the powder coating.
Storage
- When not in use for extended periods, or during extreme weather conditions (e.g., strong winds, heavy snow), collapse the umbrella and secure it with the provided strap.
- For long-term storage, it is recommended to cover the umbrella with a weather-resistant cover to protect it from elements and extend its lifespan.
- Store the umbrella in a dry, protected area during winter months to prevent corrosion and fabric degradation.
Troubleshooting
Umbrella is unstable
Ensure the base is filled with the recommended 220 pounds of sand. Check that all bolts securing the pole to the base are tightened. Verify the base panels are correctly interlocked.
Canopy does not open/close smoothly
Check the crank mechanism for any obstructions or debris. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts if necessary. Ensure the canopy fabric is not snagged.
Tilting mechanism is stiff
Ensure the handle is fully disengaged before attempting to slide. Clean any debris from the sliding track and apply lubricant if needed. Do not force the mechanism.
