Setup and Installation

The Shiftpower controller is designed for a straightforward plug-and-play installation. No special tools or programming are required.

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare Vehicle: Ensure your vehicle is turned off and the key fob is at least 30 feet away. Open the driver's side door and leave it open for approximately 15 minutes to allow the vehicle's ECU to fully shut down.
  2. Locate Accelerator Pedal Sensor: Identify the accelerator pedal position sensor, typically located above the gas pedal.
  3. Disconnect Stock Harness: Carefully disconnect the vehicle's stock harness from the accelerator pedal sensor. This usually involves pressing a tab or lever to release the connector.
