Setup Guide
- Step 1: Plug the adapter into your car's OBD2 port.
Locate the OBD2 diagnostic port in your vehicle, typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Insert the UniCarScan UCSI-2100 adapter firmly into the port.

- Step 2: Turn on the car engine or ignition.
Ensure your vehicle's ignition is on, or the engine is running, to power the OBD2 port and the UniCarScan adapter. Follow any specific instructions provided by your chosen diagnostic application.

- Step 3: Enable Bluetooth on your device and disconnect from other devices.
Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet. For optimal connection, ensure your device is not currently paired with or connected to other Bluetooth accessories, except for the UniCarScan adapter.

- Step 4 (Android ONLY): Pair the adapter with your device.
For Android devices, navigate to your device's Bluetooth settings and pair with the "UniCarScan" adapter. The default PIN is 1234. No pairing is required for iOS devices through the system settings.

- Step 5: Open the diagnostic application.
Launch your preferred diagnostic application (e.g., BimmerCode, BimmerLink, MotoScan) on your device. Follow the in-app instructions to connect to the UniCarScan adapter.

The UniCarScan UCSI-2100 functions as an interface between your vehicle's OBD2 system and your smart device. Its primary operation is managed through compatible third-party applications.

The adapter is officially recommended for and fully compatible with the following applications:
- BimmerCode: For extensive coding of BMW, Mini, and Toyota Supra cars.
- BimmerLink: For comprehensive diagnostics and maintenance of BMW, Mini, and Toyota Supra cars.
- MotoScan: For professional diagnostics of BMW motorcycles.
Additionally, it is compatible with most ELM327 applications for general OBD2 diagnostics.

General Usage

Note: The cost of third-party applications is not included with the UniCarScan UCSI-2100 adapter.

Important Notes and Troubleshooting
- iOS Device Connection: For Apple devices, direct pairing through iOS settings is not required and typically not possible. Connect directly within the Car Scanner or BimmerCode/BimmerLink app by selecting "UniCarScan" as the adapter.
- Android Device Connection: For Android devices, "UniCarScan" must be paired in your device's Bluetooth settings before connecting within the app.
- MotoScan App: The MotoScan App is not available for iOS devices and there are currently no plans for iOS compatibility.
- App Costs: The purchase price of the UniCarScan UCSI-2100 adapter does not include the cost of any third-party applications. These apps may require separate purchases or subscriptions.
- Connection Issues: If you experience difficulty connecting, ensure Bluetooth is enabled, the adapter is firmly seated in the OBD2 port, and the vehicle's ignition is on. Try restarting both the app and your device.
