4. Initial Setup

- Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank, fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line, and place it back securely.
- First Use Cycle (Priming):
- Place a large container under the portafilter and steam wand.

- Press the espresso button to run water through the brewing head for about 30 seconds.
- Turn the steam control knob to release steam through the wand for about 30 seconds.
- Repeat this process 2-3 times to flush out any manufacturing residue and prime the pump.

- Place your desired cup(s) on the cup warming tray to pre-heat.
- Insert the appropriate filter basket into the portafilter.
- Add ground coffee to the filter basket. For a single shot, use one scoop (approx. 7g); for a double shot, use two scoops (approx. 14g).
- Use the tamper spoon to gently press the coffee grounds evenly. Do not over-tamp.
- Attach the portafilter to the brewing head by aligning it and twisting firmly to the right until secure.

5.2 Brewing Espresso
- Place your pre-heated cup(s) under the portafilter spouts.
- Press the single or double espresso button on the touch control panel.
- The machine will automatically brew the espresso and stop when the cycle is complete.
- For manual control, press the espresso button to start and press again to stop at your desired volume.

5.3 Frothing Milk
The steam wand allows you to create frothed milk for lattes, cappuccinos, and other milk-based drinks.
- Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to one-third full.
- Position the steam wand into the milk, just below the surface.
- Turn the steam control knob to the steam position. Steam will begin to release.
- Move the pitcher slowly up and down, keeping the wand tip just below the surface to create foam.
- Once the milk has reached the desired temperature and consistency, turn the steam control knob to the off position.
- Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

6.1 Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Filter Basket: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard spent coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under warm water.

- Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Periodically, remove the tip and clean any blockages.
- Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily and refill with fresh water.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
