3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to replace your existing flush valve with the WinZo A2501 kit. Ensure the water supply to the toilet is turned off before beginning.

  1. Turn Off Water Supply: Locate the shut-off valve behind or near the toilet and turn it clockwise until the water flow stops. Flush the toilet to empty the tank.
  2. Remove Old Flush Valve: Disconnect the water supply line from the fill valve. Unscrew any nuts or bolts securing the old flush valve to the toilet tank. Carefully lift and remove the old flush valve.
  3. Clean Tank Base: Clean the area around the drain hole inside the toilet tank to ensure a proper seal for the new valve.
  4. Install New Flush Valve: Place the new WinZo A2501 flush valve into the tank drain hole. Ensure the rubber gasket is properly seated at the bottom of the tank.
  5. Secure the Valve: From underneath the toilet tank, thread the large plastic nut onto the flush valve and tighten it securely by hand. Do not overtighten.
  6. Connect Water Supply: Reconnect the water supply line to the fill valve.
  7. Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn the water shut-off valve counter-clockwise to restore water to the toilet tank. Check for any leaks around the flush valve and water supply connections.
  8. Test Flush: Allow the tank to fill and then perform a test flush to ensure proper operation.

4. Operating Instructions

The WinZo A2501 features a dual flush system, allowing you to choose between a half flush for liquid waste and a full flush for solid waste, optimizing water usage.

Dual Flush Mechanism:

  • Half Flush: Press the smaller button or the designated half-flush side of the flush actuator. This releases a reduced volume of water.
  • Full Flush: Press the larger button or the designated full-flush side of the flush actuator. This releases the full volume of water from the tank.

Adjusting Water Volume:

The water volume for both half and full flushes can be adjusted to suit your preferences and further optimize water savings.

  • Adjusting Half Flush Volume: Locate the adjustment mechanism for the half flush (often a small slider or clip) on the flush valve body. Move it up or down to increase or decrease the water level released during a half flush.
  • Adjusting Full Flush Volume: Similarly, locate the adjustment mechanism for the full flush. Adjust it to control the amount of water used for a full flush.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your WinZo A2501 flush valve.

  • Inspect for Leaks: Periodically check for any signs of water leakage around the base of the flush valve or where it connects to the tank. Address any leaks promptly.
  • Clean Components: If mineral deposits or debris accumulate on the flush valve or gasket, gently clean them with a soft brush and mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage plastic or rubber components.
  • Check Gasket Condition: Over time, the rubber gasket may wear out. If you notice persistent leaks or reduced flushing performance, inspect the gasket for cracks or deterioration and replace if necessary.
  • Ensure Clear Pathways: Make sure the flush valve's internal mechanisms are free from obstructions that could impede water flow or proper sealing.

6. Troubleshooting

Refer to the following common issues and their potential solutions:

  • Adjust the fill valve to lower the water level in the tank.
Weak or incomplete flush.
  • Insufficient water volume set for flush.
  • Obstruction in the flush valve or toilet bowl.
  • Adjust the full flush volume setting on the flush valve.
  • Check for blockages in the toilet bowl or trap.
