3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Press down on the tab and slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Always replace both batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

4. Operating Instructions

This remote control is pre-programmed for direct use with compatible LG TV models. No additional setup or code entry is typically required.

4.1 Basic TV Control

• Power On/Off: Press the Power button once.
• Channel Selection: Use the number pad for direct channel input, or the Channel Up/Down buttons for sequential browsing.
• Volume Adjustment: Press the Volume + or Volume - buttons.
• Mute: Press the MUTE button to silence the TV. Press again to restore sound.

4.2 Input Source Selection

To switch between connected devices (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console):

1. Press the Input button.
2. Use the Navigation Up/Down buttons to highlight the desired input source.
3. Press the OK button to confirm your selection.

4.3 Smart TV and App Access

• Press the HOME button to access the LG Smart TV dashboard.
• Press the MY APPS button to directly open the applications menu.
• Use the Navigation Pad and OK button to browse and launch apps.
