Setup

Before First Use

  1. Unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels.
  2. Wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any dust or residue from manufacturing. Dry thoroughly.
  3. For the first use, it is recommended to preheat the grill without food for approximately 5-10 minutes to burn off any manufacturing oils. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal.
  4. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the plates again with a damp cloth.

Operating Instructions

General Use

  1. Place the panini press on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Close the lid and plug the appliance into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The red Power indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Allow the grill to preheat. The green Preheat indicator light will turn on when the grill has reached its optimal cooking temperature. This typically takes 3-5 minutes.
  4. Carefully open the lid using the cool-touch handle. For best results, lightly brush the cooking plates with a small amount of cooking oil or butter.
  5. Place your food (e.g., sandwich, steak, vegetables) onto the bottom cooking plate. Do not overfill the grill.
  6. Gently close the lid. The floating hinge design allows the top plate to adjust to the thickness of your food.
  7. Cook for the desired amount of time, typically 3-8 minutes depending on the food and desired doneness. The indicator lights may cycle on and off during cooking to maintain temperature.
  8. Once cooking is complete, carefully open the lid and remove the food using a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil. Do not use metal utensils as they can damage the non-stick coating.
  9. Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

Cooking Tips

  • Always preheat the grill for even cooking.
  • For crispier results, lightly butter or oil the outside of your bread for sandwiches.
  • Adjust cooking times based on the thickness and type of food. Thicker items will require longer cooking.
  • Avoid pressing down excessively on the lid, as this can squeeze out fillings or juices.
