3. Product Overview
Familiarize yourself with the main parts of your digital microscope:

4. Setup
4.1. Assembly
- Place the base of the stand on a stable, flat surface.
- Attach the vertical support rod to the base and secure it.
- Mount the microscope host onto the adjustable bracket on the vertical rod. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Install the desired lens (Lens A, B, or C) by screwing it into the lens mount at the bottom of the microscope body.
- Connect the two USB spot lights to the available USB ports on the microscope or an external power source. Position them to illuminate your specimen.
4.2. Power Connection
Connect the provided USB cable to the microscope's power input and then to a suitable USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. Press the power button on the microscope to turn it on.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Lens Usage
The AD249S-P comes with three interchangeable lenses, each designed for specific observation types:
- Lens A (18-720x magnification): Ideal for observing larger objects such as entire coins, parts of circuit boards, plants, or stones. This lens provides a longer working distance.
- Lens B (1560-2040x magnification): Designed for higher magnification observation, suitable for biological slides and detailed examination of smaller specimens.
- Lens C (2760-4080x magnification): Provides the highest magnification, specifically for observing biological slides at a cellular level.

5.2. Focusing and Object Distance
To achieve a clear image:
- Place your specimen on the observation stage.
- Rotate the focusing wheel on the microscope body to bring the image into sharp focus on the LCD screen.
- For larger adjustments, use the bracket knob to raise or lower the microscope body, changing the object distance.

5.3. Lighting Adjustment
The two USB spot lights provide adjustable illumination. Use the dimmer switch on the cable to control the brightness. Eight intensity levels are available to suit different observation needs.

5.4. Wireless Remote Control
The wireless remote control allows for convenient operation from a distance. Functions include power on/off, menu navigation, zoom in/out, video recording start/stop, and picture capture. It also supports image discoloration and digital zoom features, useful for educational demonstrations.

5.5. HDMI Output
Connect the microscope to a larger display (e.g., TV or monitor) using the provided HDMI cable for a wider viewing experience. This allows for group observation or more comfortable long-term viewing.

5.6. PC Connection and Software
For advanced functions like measurement, connect the microscope to a Windows PC (Windows 7/8/10 supported) via the USB cable. Download and install the professional measurement software from the Andonstar official website. This software enables you to measure object lengths, calculate areas, capture photos, and record videos directly on your computer.

5.7. Photo and Video Recording
Insert the provided 32GB Micro SD card into the designated slot on the microscope. You can easily capture images and record videos of your observations directly to the SD card using the microscope's control buttons or the wireless remote. The 32GB card can store approximately 3000 photos or 120 minutes of video.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
- Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
- LCD Screen: Wipe gently with a microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Body and Stand: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the microscope body and stand.
6.2. Storage
When not in use, store the microscope in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment. Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to cover the microscope to prevent dust accumulation.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your microscope, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power: Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected and the power adapter is functioning. Check if the power button has been pressed.
- Blurry Image: Adjust the focusing wheel carefully. If using Lens A, B, or C, ensure the correct object distance is set by adjusting the stand height. Clean the lens if smudges are present.
- No Image on External Display (HDMI): Verify the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the microscope and the external display. Ensure the external display is set to the correct HDMI input source.
- Remote Control Not Responding: Check the battery in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the microscope's IR receiver.
- Cannot Record Photos/Videos: Ensure the Micro SD card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space. Format the SD card if necessary (this will erase all data).
