5. Setup and Installation
Important: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before starting installation.
5.1 Mounting Options
The DAKASON Linear Light supports two primary mounting methods: suspended and flush mount.
5.1.1 Suspension Mount
- Attach the suspension cables to the ceiling using appropriate anchors and screws.
- Connect the other end of the suspension cables to the fixture's mounting points.
- Adjust the cable length (up to 78 inches) to achieve the desired hanging height.

5.2 Electrical Wiring
Connect the fixture's wires to the building's electrical system. The fixture includes a terminal block for secure connections.
- Connect the Black wire (Line) from the fixture to the building's hot wire.
- Connect the White wire (Neutral) from the fixture to the building's neutral wire.
- Connect the Green/Ground wire from the fixture to the building's ground wire.
- For dimming functionality, connect the purple and gray wires from the fixture to a compatible 0-10V dimmer switch (if applicable).
5.3 Linking Multiple Lights
Multiple DAKASON linear lights can be linked together to create a continuous lighting system. Up to 15 lights can be linked at 120V AC.
- Remove the end cap from the output side of the first fixture and the input side of the next fixture.
- Use the provided linking connectors (terminal blocks) to connect the output wires of the first fixture to the input wires of the second fixture. Ensure correct wire matching (Line to Line, Neutral to Neutral, Ground to Ground).
- Slide the fixtures together until they are securely connected.
- Repeat for additional fixtures.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
Once installed and wired, restore power at the circuit breaker. The light will illuminate according to its last setting or default to 5000K.
6.2 Color Temperature Selection (CCT)
The fixture features a selectable switch to change the color temperature. Locate the switch on the side of the fixture and slide it to your desired setting:
- WW: 3000K (Warm White)
- NW: 4000K (Neutral White)
- DW: 5000K (Daylight White)

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your DAKASON LED Linear Light.
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the fixture. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check for any loose connections, damaged wiring, or physical damage to the fixture. Address any issues promptly.
- LEDs: The LED chips are integrated and not user-replaceable.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on | No power supply Loose wiring connection Faulty fixture | Check circuit breaker and wall switch. Verify all wire connections are secure (ensure power is off first). Contact customer support if power is confirmed and wiring is correct. |
| Light flickers | Incompatible dimmer switch Loose wiring Power fluctuations | Ensure dimmer is 0-10V compatible. If not using a dimmer, check wiring. Check all electrical connections. Consult an electrician to check power supply stability. |
| Incorrect color temperature | CCT switch set incorrectly | Adjust the CCT selectable switch on the fixture to the desired setting (WW, NW, or DW). |
| Dimming not working | Incompatible dimmer Incorrect dimming wire connection | Ensure a 0-10V compatible dimmer is used. Verify purple and gray dimming wires are correctly connected to the dimmer. |
