3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your JBL Partybox Encore Essential. The charging time is approximately 6 hours for the 4800 mAh battery. Connect the provided AC power cord to the speaker's power input and a wall outlet.

3.2 Power On/Off

To power on the speaker, press the power button located on the top panel. Press and hold the power button to turn it off.

3.3 Bluetooth Pairing

The JBL Partybox Encore Essential uses Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming. To pair with a new device:

1. Turn on the speaker.
2. Press the Bluetooth button on the top panel. The light indicator will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and select "JBL Partybox Encore Essential" from the list of available devices.
4. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will turn solid. The Bluetooth range is up to 10 meters.

3.4 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

For an even bigger sound experience, you can wirelessly pair two JBL Partybox Encore Essential speakers using True Wireless Stereo (TWS) technology.

1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
2. On one speaker, press and hold the TWS button until you hear a tone.
3. Repeat the process on the second speaker.
4. The speakers will connect automatically. Once paired, the TWS indicator on both speakers will turn solid.
5. Connect your Bluetooth device to one of the paired speakers. Audio will now play through both speakers in stereo.

4.1 Audio Playback

The JBL Partybox Encore Essential delivers 100W of JBL Original Pro Sound with deep bass. You can control playback (play/pause, skip tracks) using the buttons on the top panel or through your connected Bluetooth device.
