Safety Instructions

Setup

  1. Attach Brackets: Slide the extendable brackets onto both ends of the light unit.
  2. Adjust Length: Extend the brackets to fit your aquarium. The light is suitable for tanks between 16 and 24 inches (40-60 cm) in length.
  3. Position Light: Place the light securely on top of your aquarium. Ensure it is stable and not at risk of falling into the water.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the light unit, then plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The LAQUAL LED Aquarium Light features a convenient inline controller for managing its functions.

Power On/Off

  • Press the Power button (Power icon) to turn the light on or off.

Adjust Brightness

  • Use the + and - buttons to cycle through 5 brightness levels: 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%.

Switch Light Modes

Press the Mode button (Mode icon) to switch between the three available lighting modes:

  • Best-Vision Mode: White and blue LEDs are on, enhancing the appearance of fish and aquatic plants.
  • Night Mode: Only blue LEDs are on, providing a soft, mysterious glow for nighttime viewing.
  • Plant Mode: All LEDs (white, blue, red, green) are on, providing a full spectrum light suitable for plant growth.

Set Timer

Press the Timer button (Timer icon) to set the operating duration. Available settings are 3 hours, 6 hours, and 12 hours. The light will automatically turn off after the set time.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Before cleaning, always unplug the light from the power source.
  • Wipe the acrylic housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
  • Ensure the light is completely dry before plugging it back in.

Heat Dissipation

  • The light unit is designed with a continuous heat sink on the back to dissipate heat efficiently, ensuring a longer lifespan.
  • Ensure the heat sink area is not obstructed to allow for proper airflow.

Troubleshooting
