1. Introduction

2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your Samsung Galaxy S22+ 5G, you should find the following items:

3. Setup

3.1. Initial Charge

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge your device. Connect the provided USB cable to the phone's USB-C port and to a compatible USB power adapter (sold separately) or a computer's USB port.

3.2. Inserting the SIM Card

To use cellular services, you will need to insert a Nano-SIM card. Locate the SIM card tray on the bottom edge of the phone. Use the SIM ejector tool (if provided, or a small paperclip) to open the tray. Place your Nano-SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down, then gently push the tray back into the slot until it clicks into place.

3.3. Powering On and Initial Configuration

Press and hold the Power/Side key located on the right side of the device until the Samsung logo appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including selecting your language, connecting to Wi-Fi, signing in to your Google account, and setting up security features like fingerprint or face recognition.

4. Operating Your Device

4.1. Basic Navigation

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ features a responsive Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen. Navigate by tapping, swiping, pinching, and spreading your fingers. Use gestures for home, back, and recent apps, or enable traditional navigation buttons in settings.

4.2. Power On/Off/Restart

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power/Side key until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears.

The Volume Up and Volume Down buttons are located on the right side of the device, above the Power/Side key. Press Volume Up to increase media volume or Volume Down to decrease it. During a call, these buttons adjust call volume.

4.4. Lock Screen and Security

To lock the screen, briefly press the Power/Side key. To unlock, press the Power/Side key or double-tap the screen, then use your chosen security method (fingerprint, face recognition, PIN, pattern, or password). The in-display fingerprint sensor provides quick and secure access.
