2. Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the air compressor. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Power Source: Only connect the compressor to a 12V DC power source. Ensure the vehicle engine is running during operation to prevent draining the battery.
  • Over-inflation: Do not over-inflate tires or other items. Always refer to the manufacturer's recommended pressure.
  • Overheating: The compressor may become hot during prolonged use. Allow it to cool down between inflation cycles, especially after inflating multiple tires.
  • Ventilation: Operate the compressor in a well-ventilated area.
  • Moisture: Do not expose the compressor to rain or wet conditions.
  • Children: Keep the compressor out of reach of children.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect the power cord, air hose, and compressor for any damage. Do not operate if damaged.
  • Fuse: The power cord includes a fuse. If the compressor stops working, check and replace the fuse if necessary. Use only the specified fuse type.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your UUP air compressor:

  1. Position the Compressor: Place the compressor on a stable, flat surface near the item to be inflated. Ensure it is away from heat sources and flammable materials.
  2. Connect to Power:
    • For Cigarette Lighter Socket: Insert the 12V DC plug firmly into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Note that some vehicle sockets may not provide sufficient amperage for optimal performance, or may blow a fuse if rated below 20A.
    • For Battery Clamps: If using the battery clamps, connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Start Vehicle Engine: For optimal performance and to prevent battery drain, start your vehicle's engine before operating the compressor.
  4. Attach Air Hose: Screw the air hose connector onto the valve stem of the tire or inflatable item. Ensure it is tightly secured to prevent air leakage.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the compressor is set up, follow these steps to inflate your items:

  1. Check Current Pressure: The built-in gauge will display the current pressure once connected to the valve stem. Note this reading.
  2. Turn On Compressor: Locate the power switch on the compressor and switch it to the 'ON' position. The compressor will begin to operate.
  3. Monitor Pressure: Continuously monitor the pressure gauge during inflation. Stop inflation once the desired pressure is reached.
  4. Turn Off Compressor: Switch the power button to the 'OFF' position.
  5. Disconnect Air Hose: Carefully unscrew the air hose connector from the valve stem. A small amount of air may escape during disconnection.
  6. Use LED Light: If operating in low-light conditions, switch on the integrated LED light for illumination.
  7. Using Nozzle Adapters: For inflating items like air mattresses, sports balls, or inflatable canoes, select the appropriate nozzle adapter and attach it to the air hose before connecting to the item's valve.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable performance of your air compressor.

  • Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the compressor with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure no dust or debris obstructs the air vents.
  • Fuse Replacement: If the compressor fails to power on, the fuse in the power cord may need replacement. Unscrew the tip of the 12V DC plug or open the fuse holder on the battery clamp cable to access the fuse. Replace it with a new fuse of the same rating (e.g., 20A).
  • Storage: Store the compressor in its provided storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the power cord and air hose are neatly coiled to prevent damage.

6. Troubleshooting

Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not turn on.No power connection, blown fuse, faulty power switch.Ensure power cord is securely connected. Check and replace the fuse if blown. If issues persist, contact support.
Slow inflation or low pressure.Loose hose connection, tire valve leak, vehicle engine not running, compressor overheating.Tighten hose connection to valve stem. Check tire valve for leaks. Ensure vehicle engine is running. Allow compressor to cool down if hot.
Compressor overheats and shuts off.Prolonged continuous operation.Turn off the compressor and allow it to cool down for at least 10-15 minutes before resuming operation.
Inaccurate pressure reading.Gauge malfunction, external factors.Verify pressure with a separate, calibrated tire pressure gauge. If consistently inaccurate, contact support.
