5. Operating Instructions

After successful installation, follow these steps to operate your antenna and receive free local channels.

  1. Power On: Flip the ON/OFF switch on the control box to the 'ON' position. The red LED light on the control box will illuminate, indicating power is on.
  2. Perform Channel Scan: On your television, navigate to the 'Menu' or 'Settings' and select 'Channel Scan' or 'Auto Program'. Ensure your TV's input is set to 'Antenna' or 'Air'. This process will scan for available over-the-air channels in your area.
  3. Rotate Antenna for Optimal Reception: Use the provided wireless remote control to rotate the antenna. Press the 'Rotation' button on the remote or the control box. The green LED light on the control box will illuminate while the antenna is rotating. Rotate the antenna slowly and perform multiple channel scans at different orientations to find the best signal for all desired channels. You may need to fine-tune the antenna direction for specific channels.
  4. Troubleshooting Signal Issues: If you experience poor signal quality or missing channels, try rotating the antenna to a different position and performing another channel scan. A yellow LED light on the control box indicates a potential power supply or cable connection issue; check all connections.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your antenna.

  • Periodic Inspection: Annually inspect the antenna, mounting hardware, and coaxial cables for any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage.
  • Cleanliness: Keep the antenna free from excessive dirt, debris, or ice buildup. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent if cleaning is necessary, ensuring no water enters the electrical components.
  • Cable Connections: Periodically check all coaxial cable connections to ensure they are tight and the waterproof caps are securely in place.
  • Motor Function: Test the antenna's rotation function periodically to ensure the motor is operating smoothly.
