Installation Instructions

- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver

Installation Steps:
- Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture and turn it OFF. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound to support the fixture.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (included in hardware kit) to the junction box on the wall using the provided screws. Ensure the plate is level and firmly attached.
- Make Electrical Connections: Carefully connect the fixture's wires to the house wiring using wire nuts.
- Connect the black (hot) wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the white (neutral) wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the green or bare copper (ground) wire from the fixture to the green or bare copper (ground) wire from the junction box.
- Mount the Fixture: Carefully align the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it using the provided screws. Ensure the fixture is flush against the wall and stable.
- Seal (Optional but Recommended): For outdoor installations, apply a bead of weather-resistant sealant around the perimeter of the fixture where it meets the wall to prevent water penetration.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker.
Operating Your Sconce
The Maxim Rincon LED Outdoor Wall Sconce operates via a standard wall switch (not included).
- To turn the light ON, flip the connected wall switch to the 'ON' position.
- To turn the light OFF, flip the connected wall switch to the 'OFF' position.
This fixture is equipped with integrated LED lighting and does not require bulb replacement.
Care and Maintenance
