1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your ATB-GIFT 10L Automatic Pond Fish Feeder. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure correct operation and longevity.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the feeder is placed on a stable surface or securely mounted to prevent accidental falls into the water.
  • Do not immerse the feeder in water. While designed to be moisture-proof, it is not fully submersible.
  • Use only the specified battery type (2 x NO2 / Type C alkaline batteries). Do not use rechargeable or expired batteries.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets when not in use.
  • Disconnect power (remove batteries) before cleaning or performing any maintenance.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the feeder.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 2 x NO2 (Type C) alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Feeder Placement

Place the feeder in a location where the dispensed food can reach the water surface effectively. The feeder is designed to spray food 1-3 meters. Position it above the water surface to reduce the risk of rodents accessing the food.

4.3 Food Loading

Open the top lid of the feeder and fill the reservoir with dry fish food. The feeder has a 10L capacity, suitable for various pellet sizes from 2mm to 9mm in diameter. Ensure the feed length does not exceed 10mm.

5. Operating Instructions

The feeder allows for automatic timed and quantitative feeding. You can set up to 4 feeding times per day, with 6 adjustable feeding levels for each time. The feeding amount ranges from 15g to 38g per dispense.

5.1 Programming Local Time

  1. Press the 'SET' button. The hour display will blink.
  2. Press the '+' button to adjust the hours.
  3. Press the 'SET' button again. The minute display will blink.
  4. Press the '+' button to adjust the minutes.

5.2 Programming Feeding Time

  1. Press the 'FEED' button. The LCD will display 'FEED' to indicate entry into the feeding program mode.
  2. Press the 'SET' button. The hour display will blink.
  3. Press the '+' button to adjust the hours for the first feeding time.
  4. Press the 'SET' button again. The minute display will blink.
  5. Press the '+' button to adjust the minutes for the first feeding time.
  6. To program additional feeding times (up to 4), repeat steps b-e after pressing 'FEED' again to cycle to the next feeding program slot.

5.3 Adjusting Feeding Amount

The feeding amount can be adjusted in 6 levels for each programmed feeding time. Refer to the feeder's control panel for specific adjustment steps, typically involving pressing the '+' button after setting the time to cycle through the quantity levels.

5.4 Manual Feeding

To dispense food manually, press the 'FEED' button once outside of the programming mode. This will dispense a single portion of food.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the feeder is recommended to prevent food buildup and ensure proper operation. Disconnect power by removing batteries before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the feeding mechanism is free of debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6.2 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD, or if the feeder's performance diminishes. Always use fresh, non-rechargeable NO2 (Type C) alkaline batteries.

6.3 Moisture Protection

The feeder features a moisture-proof design to help keep food fresh. Ensure the lid is properly closed after refilling to maintain this protection.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Feeder not dispensing food:
    • Check battery levels and replace if necessary.
    • Ensure the food reservoir is not empty.
    • Verify that the feeding mechanism is not jammed by oversized pellets or debris.
    • Confirm that feeding times are correctly programmed.
  • Inconsistent feeding amounts:
    • Ensure the food type and size are within the recommended range (2-9mm diameter, max 10mm length).
    • Check for moisture or clumping of food within the reservoir.
    • Verify that the feeder is stable and not subject to vibrations that could affect dispensing.
  • Display not working:
    • Check battery installation and replace batteries.
