Setup

Preparing the Lancing Device

  1. Unscrew the cap of the lancing device.
  2. Insert a new sterile lancet firmly into the lancet holder.
  3. Twist off the protective cap of the lancet.
  4. Replace the lancing device cap.
  5. Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the cap (refer to your lancing device manual for specific settings).
  6. Pull back the cocking control until it clicks, indicating it is ready to use.

Inserting a Test Strip

Ensure your Sinocare GA-3 Blood Glucose Meter is clean and ready. Insert a new test strip into the test strip port of the meter. The meter will typically turn on automatically and display a symbol indicating it is ready for a blood sample.

Operating Instructions

Performing a Blood Glucose Test

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, then dry them completely.
  2. Prepare the lancing device as described in the Setup section.
  3. Insert a new Sinocare GA-3 test strip into the meter.
  4. Prick the side of your fingertip with the lancing device to obtain a blood drop.
  5. Gently touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The strip will automatically draw the blood sample into the reaction area. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
  6. The meter will begin counting down, and your blood glucose result will appear on the display within a few seconds.
  7. Record your result in a logbook or a compatible app.
  8. Dispose of the used test strip and lancet safely in a sharps container.
