1. Product Overview

The Inkbird INK-IFT02 is a rechargeable infrared thermometer gun designed for non-contact surface temperature measurement. It features a colorful digital display and a laser pointer for accurate targeting. This device is ideal for various applications including cooking, baking, grilling, home repairs, and industrial environments. It provides quick temperature readings within 0.5 seconds.

Important Note: This thermometer is NOT for human body temperature measurement.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

The Inkbird INK-IFT02 features a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator on the display shows low power, charge the device using the provided USB charging cable.

1. Connect the USB-C end of the charging cable to the charging port on the thermometer.
2. Connect the USB-A end of the charging cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, power bank, USB wall adapter).
3. The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. A full charge typically lasts up to 12 hours with the backlight on.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation (One-Button Control)

The Inkbird INK-IFT02 is designed for simple, one-button operation.

1. Power On: Press the main button to turn on the device. The display will illuminate.
2. Measure Temperature: Point the laser directly at the surface of the object you wish to measure. Press and hold the main button. The real-time temperature will be displayed.
3. Hold Reading: Release the button to lock the current temperature reading on the screen. The maximum temperature recorded during the scan will also be displayed.
4. Power Off: The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.

4.2 Temperature Unit Setting (Fahrenheit Only)

This model of the Inkbird infrared thermometer gun is designed to only support Fahrenheit (℉) settings. There is no option to switch to Celsius (℃).

4.3 Measurement Tips

• For accurate readings, ensure the laser is pointed directly at the surface and not through transparent materials. Check for obstructions or excessive dust on the sensor.
• The device measures surface temperature only. It cannot measure internal temperatures of objects or humans.
• Maintain an appropriate distance from the object being measured. The device has a Distance to Spot Size (D:S) ratio of 12:1. This means that at a distance of 12 inches, it measures a 1-inch spot.

• Cannot Switch to Celsius: This model (INK-IFT02) is designed to display temperature only in Fahrenheit (℉). It does not support Celsius (℃) conversion.
