5. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the machine and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Place the machine on a sturdy, level workbench or table capable of supporting its weight (approximately 55 lbs / 25 kg). Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for safe operation and wire feeding.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a standard 110V 60HZ grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch on the machine is in the "OFF" position before plugging it in.
  4. Blade Adjustment: Before first use, or when changing wire sizes, adjust the blade height. Use the adjustable screw nuts on top of the machine to raise or lower the blades. The goal is for the blade to score the insulation without cutting into the copper conductor. Test with a small piece of wire first.

6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective wire stripping:

  1. Preparation: Ensure the machine is properly set up and connected to power. Wear appropriate PPE.
  2. Select Feed Hole: Choose the appropriate feed hole for the wire diameter you intend to strip. The wire should fit snugly but not be forced.
  3. Adjust Blade: Adjust the blade height using the screw nuts so that the blade just scores the insulation. A test strip on a scrap piece of wire is recommended to fine-tune the adjustment. The insulation should be cut, but the copper conductor should remain undamaged.
  4. Start Machine: Turn on the machine using the power switch.
  5. Feed Wire: Carefully insert the end of the wire into the selected feed hole. The machine's rollers will grip the wire and pull it through, stripping the insulation.
  6. Guide Wire: Maintain a steady hand and guide the wire straight into the feed hole. Do not push or pull excessively.
  7. Collect Stripped Wire: As the wire exits the machine, collect the stripped copper and insulation separately.
  8. Stop Machine: When finished, turn off the machine using the power switch. In an emergency, press the red emergency stop button.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your wire stripping machine.

  • Disconnect Power: Always unplug the machine from the power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the machine, especially the cutting blades and feed rollers, to remove accumulated insulation debris. Use a brush or compressed air.
  • Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Replace dull or damaged blades promptly. An extra blade is included in the package.
  • Lubrication: Apply a small amount of machine oil to moving parts, such as gears and bearings, as needed to ensure smooth operation.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a dry, clean environment when not in use.

8. Troubleshooting
