4. Setup and Basic Operation

4.1 Charging the Speaker

1. Connect the provided charging cable to the DC 5V port on the speaker.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged (approximately 2 hours), the light will change or turn off.

The integrated 1200 mAh battery provides up to 8 hours of audio playback on a single charge.

4.2 Power On/Off

• To power on: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. You will hear an audible prompt.
• To power off: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position.

5. Operating Modes

5.1 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode (indicated by an audible prompt or flashing LED). If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to Bluetooth mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device or computer.
3. Search for available Bluetooth devices and select "RD B-42" from the list.
4. Once paired, the speaker will provide an audible confirmation.

The speaker features Bluetooth v5.0 for stable wireless connectivity.

5.2 USB/TF Card Mode

1. Insert a USB flash drive or a TF (MicroSD) card containing MP3 audio files into the respective port.
2. The speaker will automatically detect the storage device and begin playing music. If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to USB or TF card mode.

5.3 AUX Mode

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX port on the speaker.
2. Connect the other end to the audio output jack of your external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
3. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button to select AUX mode.

5.4 Call Function

• When connected via Bluetooth, incoming calls will be announced.
• Press the 'M' (Mode) button once to answer an incoming call.
• Press the 'M' (Mode) button again to end the call.

• Volume Down / Previous Track: Press and hold the '-' button for volume down. Press briefly for previous track.
• Mode / Play/Pause / Answer Call: Press the 'M' button to switch between Bluetooth, USB, TF, and AUX modes. Press briefly to play/pause music or answer/end a call.
• Volume Up / Next Track: Press and hold the '+' button for volume up. Press briefly for next track.

• Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Avoid exposing the speaker to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
• The speaker has an IPX4 water resistance rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. Do not submerge the speaker in water.
• Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

8. Troubleshooting

• Speaker does not power on:
  Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source using the charging cable.
• No sound:
  Check the volume level on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the correct input mode (Bluetooth, USB, TF, AUX) is selected. Verify that the device is properly paired in Bluetooth mode or that the cable is securely connected in AUX mode.
• Bluetooth connection unstable or unable to pair:
  Ensure the speaker is within the effective range (typically 10 meters) of your device. Turn off and on both the speaker and your device's Bluetooth, then try pairing again. Clear previous pairings on your device if necessary.
• USB/TF card not playing:
  Ensure the audio files are in a compatible format (e.g., MP3). Check that the USB drive or TF card is inserted correctly and is not corrupted.
