1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the robotic pool cleaner. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Do not operate the cleaner if the power cable is damaged. Contact qualified personnel for repair.
  • Keep children and pets away from the pool area while the cleaner is in operation.
  • Ensure the power outlet is protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or Residual Current Device (RCD).

4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Cleaner: Carefully remove the robotic cleaner and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Position the Power Supply: Place the power supply unit at least 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) from the edge of the pool. Ensure it is in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight, rain, and extreme temperatures.
  3. Connect the Floating Cable: Uncoil the floating cable completely. Connect the floating cable from the cleaner to the power supply unit. Ensure the connection is secure.
  4. Plug in the Power Supply: Plug the power supply unit into a grounded electrical outlet protected by a GFCI/RCD.
  5. Place the Cleaner in the Pool: Gently lower the cleaner into the pool. Hold the handle and allow it to sink to the bottom. Ensure all trapped air escapes from the cleaner. The cleaner will automatically begin its cleaning cycle once submerged and powered on.

Note: The COSMY The BOT 100 is designed for "Plug & Play" operation, meaning it starts cleaning automatically once properly connected and placed in the water.

5. Operating Instructions

The AQUATRON BWT COSMY The BOT 100 is designed for simple, automated operation.

  1. Initiating a Cleaning Cycle: Once the cleaner is submerged and the power supply is connected and turned on, the cleaner will automatically begin its cleaning cycle. The COSMY The BOT 100 is specifically designed to clean the bottom of your pool.
  2. Cleaning Cycle Duration: A typical cleaning cycle for the COSMY The BOT 100 lasts approximately 2.5 hours. The cleaner will navigate the pool bottom using its AQUASMART system to ensure efficient coverage.
  3. Monitoring Operation: Observe the cleaner during its first few cycles to ensure it covers the entire pool bottom.
  4. Removing the Cleaner: Once the cleaning cycle is complete or you wish to remove the cleaner:
    • First, turn off and unplug the power supply unit from the electrical outlet.
    • Gently pull the floating cable to bring the cleaner to the surface near the edge of the pool.
    • Use the handle to lift the cleaner out of the water. Allow excess water to drain from the cleaner before placing it on the pool deck.

Important: Do not pull the cleaner out of the water by its cable. Always use the handle.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robotic pool cleaner.

6.1. Cleaning the Filter Basket

It is recommended to clean the filter basket after each cleaning cycle.

  1. Disconnect Power: Ensure the power supply is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
  2. Open the Cleaner: Locate the latch on the top of the cleaner and open the top lid.
  3. Remove Filter Basket: Grasp the handle of the filter basket and lift it out of the cleaner.
  4. Empty Debris: Open the filter basket and empty all collected debris into a waste bin.
  5. Rinse Filter: Rinse the filter basket thoroughly with a garden hose until all fine debris is removed.
  6. Reinstall Filter: Place the clean filter basket back into the cleaner, ensuring it is properly seated. Close the top lid securely.

6.2. Cleaning the Cleaner Exterior

Periodically rinse the exterior of the cleaner with fresh water to remove any chemical residue or dirt. Do not use soap or harsh chemicals.

After each use, gently coil the floating cable to prevent tangles and kinks, which can affect the cleaner's movement and cable lifespan.
