1. Introduction
The Hygger Advanced Remote Control Aquarium Light (Model HG016) is designed to provide customizable full-spectrum lighting for freshwater planted tanks. It features unique purple LED bulbs, a remote control with an LCD display, and various customizable lighting modes including DIY, Day & Moon, Default, and Weather modes. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your aquarium light.
2. Product Features
- Unique Purple LED Bulbs: Equipped with 60 effective growing four-row LED bulbs, including 4 purple LEDs, 24 RGB LEDs, and 32 white LEDs for super bright lighting and a 120-degree wide beam angle.
- Remote Control with LCD Display: Easy program setting via 19-key buttons, allowing adjustment of working mode, color, brightness, and time within a 32-foot range. Display shows settings simultaneously. (Note: Remote is not waterproof).
- Vary Customizable Options:
- DIY Mode: 24 hours divided into 8 phases, allowing custom time, color, and brightness for each phase.
- Day & Moon Light Mode: Full spectrum during the day and blue light at night, with options to create custom color blends.
- Default Mode: Simulates a 24-hour natural spectrum, including gradual sunrise, bright daylight, gentle sunset, and 4 hours of moonlight before turning off.
- Weather Mode: Offers sunrise, sunset, cloudy, and lightning effects for dynamic tank ambiance.
- Full Spectrum Lighting: Provides 7 spectrum colors (red, green, blue, purple, orange, cyan, yellow) with wavelengths from 380nm to 680nm, and 10 dimmable brightness levels. Memory function retains last settings.
- IP68 Waterproof Brackets Light: Slim design (10.8'' x 4.25'' x 0.47'') with extendable bracket legs to fit 12 to 18-inch tanks. High-quality aluminum shell for improved heat dissipation and PC lamp cover to prevent water splashing.

4. Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
- Attach Bracket Legs: Slide the extendable bracket legs onto both ends of the light unit. Ensure they are securely fastened.

- Position Light on Tank: Place the light unit with attached brackets securely on top of your aquarium. Adjust the extendable legs to fit the length of your tank (12 to 18 inches for this model).
- Connect Power Adapter: Connect the power adapter to the light unit's power input. Then, plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.

- Insert Remote Control Battery: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert the required battery (included).

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Remote Control Overview
The remote control is your primary interface for managing the aquarium light's functions. It features an LCD screen for easy viewing of settings and dedicated buttons for various modes and adjustments.

The remote control has a maximum effective range of 32 feet. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the light unit for optimal performance.

5.2. Setting the Clock
To set the current time on the remote control:
- Press the CLOCK button.
- Use the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press CLOCK again to move to minutes, then use UP/DOWN to adjust.
- Press CLOCK one more time to save and exit.
5.3. Operating Modes
5.3.1. Default Mode (Day & Moon Light)
This mode simulates a natural 24-hour cycle with gradual transitions. It includes a sunrise, bright daylight, gentle sunset, and 4 hours of moonlight before turning off for the night. You can adjust the start and end times for daylight and moonlight, as well as their brightness.

To turn off daylight or moonlight in this mode, simply set their brightness to "0".
5.3.2. DIY Mode (Customizable 24-Hour Cycle)
The DIY mode allows you to create a fully customized 24-hour lighting cycle divided into 8 distinct phases (L1 to L8). For each phase, you can set the start time, end time, and the intensity of white, red, green, and blue LEDs.

To set DIY Mode:
- Press and hold the DIY button until the screen displays "OFF".
- Press the UP/DOWN button to select "ON" to turn on DIY mode.
- Press the DIY button once to save.
- The screen will display "L1" and the first time box will flash the hour number. Use UP/DOWN to set the start hour for L1. Press DIY to save.
- The minute number will flash. Use UP/DOWN to set the start minute. Press DIY to save.
- The second time box will flash the hour number. Use UP/DOWN to set the end hour for L1. Press DIY to save.
- The minute number will flash. Use UP/DOWN to set the end minute. Press DIY to save.
- The third time box will flash the brightness number. Use the WRGB (White, Red, Green, Blue) channel buttons to set your desired brightness for stage L1. Press DIY to save.
- The system will automatically advance to the next stage (L2). Repeat steps for all stages up to L7. Note: No need to set stage L8, it is default light off.
- Finally, press the CLOCK button once to exit.

5.3.3. Weather Mode
The Weather mode offers dynamic lighting effects to enhance your aquarium's ambiance. You can choose from Sunrise, Sunset, Cloudy, and Lightning effects.

To activate a weather effect, simply press the corresponding button on the remote control (Sunrise, Sunset, Cloudy, Lightning icons).
5.3.4. Color Options and Brightness Adjustment
The light offers 7 spectrum colors (red, green, blue, purple, orange, cyan, yellow) and 10 levels of brightness dimmable options. You can freely adjust lighting intensity to meet different stages of plant lighting needs.

Use the dedicated color buttons (Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Cyan, Yellow, Full Spectrum) to select a color. Use the UP/DOWN buttons under the light icon to adjust brightness.
6. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe the light unit and PC lamp cover regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and water spots. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect all electrical connections for tightness and signs of wear.
- Remote Control Care: Keep the remote control dry. If the display fades or buttons become unresponsive, replace the battery.
- Heat Dissipation: Ensure the aluminum shell is not obstructed to allow for proper heat dissipation.
7. Troubleshooting
