3. Setup

3.1 Initial Setup

1. Power On: Connect the camera to a power source using the provided power adapter. The camera will power on and initiate its startup sequence.
2. Download the App: Download the official Tenda TDSEE app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
3. Create Account: Open the TDSEE app and create a new user account or log in if you already have one.
4. Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add your Tenda CP7 camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or manually selecting the device model.
5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. Follow the app prompts to connect the camera to your home Wi-Fi network.
6. Placement: Position the camera in your desired monitoring area.

3.2 Mounting Options

The Tenda CP7 camera supports various mounting options to suit your needs:

• Desktop Placement: Simply place the camera on a flat surface such as a table or shelf.
• Wall Mounting: Use the included wall mount accessory kit to securely attach the camera to a wall.
• Ceiling Mounting: The camera can also be mounted upside down on the ceiling using the accessory kit. Ensure to adjust the image rotation setting in the app if mounted upside down.

4. Operating the Camera

4.1 Pan and Tilt Control

Use the TDSEE app to remotely control the camera's pan (horizontal) and tilt (vertical) movements. The camera offers a 355° horizontal and 155° vertical range, allowing comprehensive coverage of your space.

4.2 Two-Way Audio

The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way communication. Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera, and listen to audio from the camera's surroundings. This feature is ideal for interacting with family members, pets, or deterring unwanted visitors.

4.3 Motion Detection and Tracking

The camera can detect motion and automatically track the moving object within its field of view. You will receive instant alerts on your smartphone when motion is detected. This feature helps you stay informed about activity in your home.

4.4 Night Vision

The Tenda CP7 features Smart IR technology, providing clear night vision up to 40 feet (12 meters). This ensures detailed video capture even in complete darkness.

4.5 Privacy Shutter

For moments when you desire complete privacy, the Tenda CP7 includes an automatic privacy shutter. You can rotate the camera lens down physically via the app to ensure no video is being recorded or streamed.

4.6 Storage Options

The camera offers two methods for video storage:

• Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD card (up to 256GB, not included) into the designated slot for local storage of recordings.
• Cloud Storage: Subscribe to Tenda's cloud storage service for secure, remote storage of your video footage. This ensures your recordings are safe even if the camera is damaged or stolen.

4.7 Active Light and Sound Alarms

When intrusion is detected during the alert period, a sound and white flashing light alarm can be triggered to warn potential intruders. An alarm message will also be sent to your mobile device.

4.8 Customizable Voice Alerts

You can customize up to 3 personalized audio messages within the TDSEE app. These can be used for greetings or specific warnings.

4.9 Scheduled Patrol

Set pan/tilt patrol locations via the TDSEE app. The camera will then rotate cyclically according to your preset locations to monitor the area automatically.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Software Updates: Regularly check the TDSEE app for firmware updates. Keeping your camera's software up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.
• Power Cycle: If the camera experiences issues, try unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
• Environmental Conditions: Ensure the camera is used within its specified operating temperature and humidity ranges. Avoid direct exposure to water or extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Connectivity Issues

• Camera Offline: Ensure the camera is powered on and within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router. Check your Wi-Fi network status.
• Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi: Verify that your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz networks. Double-check your Wi-Fi password.
• Weak Signal: Relocate the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router or consider using a Wi-Fi extender.

6.2 Image/Video Quality Issues

• Blurry Image: Clean the camera lens with a soft cloth. Ensure there is adequate lighting in the monitoring area.
• Poor Night Vision: Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the infrared LEDs.

6.3 App Related Issues

• App Not Responding: Close and restart the TDSEE app. If the issue persists, reinstall the app.
• Notifications Not Received: Check your smartphone's notification settings for the TDSEE app to ensure they are enabled. Verify motion detection settings in the app.
