  9. Adjust Ventilation: Ensure the two ventilation windows are open for airflow.

Operating Instructions

Ventilation

The tent features two entrances and two ventilation windows to ensure optimal airflow and reduce condensation. Keep these open whenever possible, especially in humid conditions, to maintain a comfortable interior environment.

Vestibule Use

The tent includes a vestibule area, which can be used for gear storage or as an awning. When using as an awning, trekking poles (not included) can be used to prop up the outer door curtain. The outer door curtain can be rolled up and secured with buckles for easy access or to create an open porch area.

4-Season Use

This tent is designed for 4-season use. The integrated snow skirt provides additional protection against wind and snow in colder conditions. In warmer weather, the rainfly can be removed to use only the inner tent for increased ventilation and stargazing.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the tent with a soft sponge and mild soap. Do not use harsh detergents or washing machines. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mildew and damage to the waterproof coatings. Air dry in a shaded area.
  • Storage: Store the tent in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid compressing the tent for long periods.
  • Pole Care: Inspect poles for damage or bending. Clean dirt from pole sections and shock cord.
  • Zipper Care: Keep zippers clean and lubricated with a silicone-based spray to ensure smooth operation.

Troubleshooting

Condensation Inside Tent

Condensation is a natural occurrence. To minimize it, ensure adequate ventilation by keeping the tent's vents and doors (if weather permits) open. Avoid cooking inside the tent.

Water Leaks

Check for proper rainfly placement and ensure all zippers are fully closed. Verify that seams are sealed. If leaks persist, inspect for damage to the fabric or seam tape.

Difficulty Setting Up Poles

Ensure pole sections are fully connected. Do not force poles; if they are stiff, check for dirt or damage in the joints. Setting up on a flat surface can also help.
