1. Introduction

This instruction manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the Distri+ Squeegee Kit. This kit is designed as a compatible replacement for the original squeegee blades used in Nilfisk SC350 and SCRUBTEC 337 auto-scrubber machines, corresponding to Nilfisk part number 9099027000. 2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions when handling or installing the squeegee kit:

  • Power Off: Before attempting any installation or maintenance, ensure the auto-scrubber machine is turned off and disconnected from its power source to prevent accidental startup.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE, such as gloves, to protect hands from sharp edges or cleaning solutions.
  • Handle with Care: Squeegee blades may have sharp edges. Handle them carefully to avoid injury.
  • Proper Disposal: Dispose of old squeegee blades according to local regulations.

3. Package Contents

The Distri+ Squeegee Kit (Model: WEBAU40528) typically includes the following components:

  • 1 x Front Squeegee Blade (Dirt Catcher)
  • 1 x Rear Squeegee Blade

Note: Please inspect the package upon receipt to ensure all components are present and undamaged. Contact your supplier immediately if any items are missing or damaged.

4. Installation (Setup)

Follow these steps to replace the squeegee blades on your Nilfisk SC350 or SCRUBTEC 337 auto-scrubber:

  1. Prepare the Machine: Park the auto-scrubber on a flat, stable surface. Turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power source.
  2. Access the Squeegee Assembly: Depending on your specific Nilfisk model, you may need to lift or remove the squeegee assembly from the machine. Refer to your auto-scrubber's main instruction manual for detailed steps on accessing the squeegee bar.
  3. Remove Old Blades: Carefully unfasten the clamps or retaining clips that hold the old squeegee blades in place. Remove both the front (dirt catcher) and rear blades. Note their orientation for correct installation of the new blades.
  4. Clean the Squeegee Bar: Thoroughly clean any debris, dirt, or residue from the squeegee bar and its channels. This ensures a proper fit and seal for the new blades.
  5. Install New Blades:
    • Insert the new front squeegee blade (588 x 35 x 4 mm) into its designated slot on the squeegee bar. Ensure it is seated correctly and evenly.
    • Insert the new rear squeegee blade (608 x 37 x 3 mm) into its designated slot.
  6. Secure Blades: Re-fasten the clamps or retaining clips to secure both blades firmly. Ensure they are taut and straight, without any kinks or twists.
  7. Reattach Squeegee Assembly: If you removed the entire squeegee assembly, reattach it to the auto-scrubber according to your machine's manual.
  8. Test: Reconnect the power and perform a test run to ensure the squeegee is effectively picking up water and leaving a dry floor. Adjust if necessary.

5. Operating Considerations

While the squeegee kit itself does not have operational controls, its performance is directly linked to the proper operation of the auto-scrubber. Ensure the following for optimal water pickup:

  • Proper Down Pressure: Verify that the auto-scrubber's squeegee assembly applies adequate and even down pressure. Too little pressure will result in streaking, while too much can cause premature wear.
  • Machine Speed: Operate the auto-scrubber at the recommended speed for effective water recovery.
  • Floor Condition: The squeegee's effectiveness can be influenced by the floor surface. Ensure the floor is free of large debris that could damage the blades.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance of your squeegee blades will extend their lifespan and ensure consistent cleaning results:

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, remove the squeegee blades and rinse them thoroughly with clean water to remove any accumulated dirt, grit, or chemical residue.
  • Inspect for Wear: Regularly inspect the edges of both blades for signs of wear, nicks, tears, or hardening. Worn blades will lead to poor water pickup and streaking.
  • Rotate Blades (if applicable): Some squeegee systems allow for rotation or flipping of blades to utilize unworn edges. Consult your auto-scrubber's manual to see if this is an option for your model.
  • Storage: Store spare blades flat and in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to prevent warping or degradation.

7. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with water pickup or streaking after installing the new squeegee blades, consider the following:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Poor water pickup / StreakingBlades not properly seated or secured.Re-check installation; ensure blades are taut and straight.
Poor water pickup / StreakingInsufficient or uneven squeegee down pressure.Adjust squeegee pressure on the auto-scrubber (refer to machine manual).
Poor water pickup / StreakingVacuum system issues on the auto-scrubber.Check vacuum hose for clogs, tank for fullness, or vacuum motor function.
Premature blade wearExcessive down pressure or abrasive floor surfaces.Reduce down pressure; ensure floor is free of large debris before scrubbing.
