3. Compatibility
This SpO2 sensor probe is compatible with various medical monitors. Please verify your device's specifications to ensure compatibility. Known compatible models include:
- Contec: CMS60C, CMS5100, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000 series.
- Biolight: M6, M9, M12, M66, M69 series.
- Carewell: All Carewell 5-pin monitors including CPM8000, 8000Plus, CPM-9000, M10, M20, etc.
- All Biocare: 5-pin models.

4. Available Sensor Types
The SpO2 sensor probe is available with different connection ends to suit various patient types and applications. The default type shipped is the Adult Finger Clip. Other available types include:
- Adult Finger Clip (Default)
- Adult Fingertip
- Child Finger Clip
- Child Fingertip
- Neonatal Wrap
If you require a specific type other than the default Adult Finger Clip, please contact your supplier at the time of purchase.
5. Package Contents
Each package contains:
- • 1 x 5-pin SpO2 Sensor Probe
The cable color may vary randomly.
6. Setup
- Inspect the Probe: Before each use, visually inspect the sensor probe and cable for any signs of damage, fraying, or contamination. Do not use if any damage is observed.
- Connect to Monitor: Carefully align the 5-pin connector of the SpO2 probe with the corresponding port on your compatible medical monitor. Insert the connector firmly until it clicks into place, ensuring a secure connection.
- Apply to Patient:
- For finger clip sensors: Place the patient's finger into the clip, ensuring the finger is fully inserted and the sensor is positioned correctly on the fingertip.
- For other sensor types (e.g., neonatal wrap): Follow the specific instructions provided with that sensor type for proper application to the patient.
- Verify Connection: Once connected and applied, turn on the medical monitor and verify that the SpO2 probe is recognized and data is being transmitted correctly.
7. Operating Instructions
Once the SpO2 sensor probe is properly set up and connected to a compatible monitor, the monitor will begin displaying SpO2 readings and pulse rate. Follow the operating instructions of your specific medical monitor for interpreting the data and setting alarms.
- Ensure the patient remains still during measurement for accurate readings.
- Avoid excessive ambient light directly on the sensor, as this can interfere with readings.
- Do not apply the sensor to a limb with an arterial catheter or blood pressure cuff.
- Periodically check the sensor site for proper perfusion and skin integrity.
8. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your SpO2 sensor probe.
8.1 Cleaning
- Disconnect the probe from the monitor before cleaning.
- Wipe the sensor and cable with a soft cloth dampened with a mild disinfectant solution (e.g., 70% isopropyl alcohol).
- Do not immerse the sensor or connector in any liquid.
- Allow the probe to air dry completely before storage or next use.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
8.2 Storage
- Store the probe in a clean, dry place at room temperature.
- Avoid extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and high humidity.
- Do not coil the cable too tightly or place heavy objects on it, as this can cause damage.
