3. Setup and Connections
Before operating the unit, ensure all connections are secure and correct. Refer to the diagram below for proper hose routing.
- Connect the power cord to the machine's power inlet and then to a suitable 110V-120V 60 Hz power outlet.
- Attach the provided filter drier to the "IN" port of the recovery machine. The filter drier helps remove moisture and liquid substances from the refrigerant.
- Connect the blue hose from your manifold gauge set to the "IN" port of the recovery machine (after the filter drier).
- Connect the yellow hose from your manifold gauge set to the "OUT" port of the recovery machine.
- Connect the other end of the yellow hose from the manifold gauge set to your refrigerant recovery tank. Ensure the recovery tank is placed on a scale for accurate measurement.
- Connect the red hose from your manifold gauge set to the high-pressure side of the system you are recovering from, and the blue hose to the low-pressure side.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective refrigerant recovery:
- Ensure all hoses are securely connected as per the Setup section.
- Open the valves on your manifold gauge set and the recovery tank.
- Turn on the power switch located on the top of the recovery machine.
- Rotate the central metal knob to select the desired recovery speed:
- "RECOVER SLOW" (Speed One): For a slower, more controlled recovery.
- "RECOVER FAST" (Speed Two): For quicker recovery of larger volumes.
- Monitor the pressure gauges on the machine and your manifold set. The low-pressure input gauge should not exceed 377 psi / 26 bar. The high-pressure output gauge should not exceed 558 psi.
- Once recovery is complete, close the valves on the recovery tank and manifold gauge set.
- Rotate the central metal knob to the "OFF" position.
- Turn off the power switch on the recovery machine.
4.1. Self-Purge Function
The self-purge function is crucial for removing residual refrigerants from the recovery unit, preventing damage and cross-contamination. To activate:
- After recovery, ensure the recovery tank valve is open and the manifold gauge set valves are closed.
- Rotate the central metal knob to the "PURGE" position.
- Allow the machine to run until the gauges indicate that the system is clear of refrigerant.
- Rotate the knob back to "OFF" and turn off the power.
4.2. Liquid Push/Pull Method
For liquid refrigerant recovery exceeding 10kg, the push/pull method is recommended for a faster process. This method typically involves connecting both liquid and vapor lines to the recovery tank and system.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your recovery machine.
- Filter Drier Replacement: The filter drier is crucial for removing moisture and impurities. It should be replaced regularly, especially when recovering different types of refrigerants, as it can only be used for one kind of refrigerant.
- Filter Screen Cleaning: The intake port includes a filter screen to prevent larger impurities from entering the machine. Periodically check and clean this screen to maintain efficient operation.
- General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the machine clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth.
- Storage: When not in use, store the machine in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Oil-less Compressor: This unit features an oil-less compressor, eliminating the need for oil changes or lubrication.
6. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine shuts down automatically | Internal pressure exceeds 558 psi (overload protection). | The machine will reset automatically. Check for blockages in the system or recovery tank. Ensure proper flow. |
| Breaker switch pops out | Electrical overload. | Allow 5 minutes for the breaker switch to reposition. Reduce load if possible, or check power supply. |
| Low recovery rate | Clogged filter drier or filter screen; improper hose connections; low refrigerant in system. | Replace the filter drier. Clean the intake filter screen. Verify all hose connections are tight and correct. Ensure there is sufficient refrigerant to recover. |
| Machine not turning on | No power; power switch off; internal fault. | Check power cord connection and wall outlet. Ensure power switch is in the "ON" position. If issues persist, contact customer support. |
